Dr Waltrip is a godsend to me. He's kind, compassionate and diligent in his care of me. I've had 14 spinal fusions and hip replacenents in 20 years. The pain, especially from the fusions, was excruciating, and beginning in 2001, well-intended but misinformed pain specialists prescribed opioids in abundance. As the public started learning people were dying from overdoses (including a patient of my then-doctor), I was desperate to find someone responsible, who could help me manage the pain I will likely always live with, but not be drugged to the gills. I am convinced Dr Waltrip saved my life. I see him once a month and am now on miniscule doses of meds compared to where I was 7 years ago. I'm alert, have a clear mind, and much to the chagrin of my friends, my memory is back. Dr Waltrip stays current with state of the art alternative remedies. He's well-connected with the best physicians at Cedars who can perform procedures that offer enormous pain relief. I don't know what I'd do without Dr Waltrip. He's found a proactive, empathetic assistant in Jaime, who has truly gone the distance for me when I've encountered obstacles at the worst possible times. Like Dr Waltrip, she sees the whole person. If you understand what distinguishes sympathy from empathy, then you'll appreciate the unique insight into chronic pain she offers Dr Waltrip's patients. And that's her superpower. If I could give this practice 10 stars, I would. I recommend Dr Waltrip without hesitation. He's given me my miracle.

I had been under the care of Dr. Waltrip for several years and can confidently say he is an exceptional physician - I would even give him a perfect rating of 10 stars. However, upon returning from a three-year stay up north, I reached out for an appointment and was disappointed to find that my four messages went unanswered. The lack of attention from the staff reflects poorly on the doctor's reputation, and I cannot in good conscience recommend him to anyone else.

He was my doctor for about 8 years and suddenly decided he couldn't see me anymore. The last time I went to see him I was 5 minutes late 250 instead of 245 (I was coming from work in downtown LA) and he left! He's a horrible person.

Dr, Waltrip is superb; he listens, he's knowledgeable, compassionate, and his concern is to work with you to get you back to your best. I couldn't recommend him more highly. Richard Lenz

The staff is incompetent, unreliable and will lie to your face. Went for gel injections & the first two times were fine. Then on the third time for gel injections, they said insurance the insurance didn't cover it & you will have to pay cash. When I called the insurance company, there was no request for the procedure or medication from the doctor's office. Then when I & the pharmacy called to refill a prescription, they said they never got the request. My pharmacy attempted 3 times& I called leaving a voicemail message. So what they said is a lie. Now they r trying to resubmit a prior claim that was covered saying I owe $1,800. Stay away from this place!!!

Dr. Waltrip is great, but I couldn't even get a call back to schedule a follow-up appointment. The staff doesn't answer calls. I always have to leave several messages. And they don't even call me back. And when they did call finally after a week, they said they tried to call me several times. Well, I got just one voicemail message on my home phone. I had said in my message to call my cell phone. I never got any calls from them on my cell phone. It's sad that the staff who had retired a few years ago was very good before. Time to look for another doctor who can actually see me.

Excellent staff. Dr. Waltrip gave me my life back. With the hyaluronic shots in my knee I can continue all my daily activities.
