List of Susan S Schreiber's Reviews
Fantastic, we love Dr. Schreiber and her practice! Everyone is super welcoming and lovely (welove Shawn too)! We've been going to her since my son was born, he's now 3 years old. Dr. Schreiber always answers all of my questions and is so great with my son. Thank you Premier Pediatrics!
I am deeply disappointed about the care provided at this clinic coupled with the absolute disorganization of the office staff. Although our doctor disappeared after expectations of care we set prior to our sins birth, just a few months after he was born, this office was not able to operate through covid with efficieny and provided a very poor quality of care for my newborn. Perhaps they are better suited for older children but I would highly discourage anyone coming here with young babies or children. Very bad experience overall.
As a graduate in early childhood education from UCLA, mandated reporter for LA County and a 25 yr veteran in the teaching field, I am absolutely disappointed and disheartened by the extremely poor care rendered by Dr Schreiber at premier pediatrics. Having a PPO platinum policy, we could go to any doctor of choice but chose this clinic BEFORE our son was born after consulting with the doctor on our expectations. After the first 2 months, the doctor disappeared without any notice for 4 months due to personal reasons. We were shuffled from one doctor to another, creating a great strain in my son's wellness visits. We were given incorrect diagnosis on several occasions coupled with the office being highly disorganized and careless with communication. They scoff at any idea of natural care and shove medications down your throat for every concern you may have (i.e.: temp, tooth aches etc). This has single handedly been the worst medical practice experience in my life and I strongly urge par
I switched to this practice 15 years ago looking for a qualified but also caring and warm professional. My son is now 18 y old and it makes me reflect on the many many times that this office, and especially Dr. Schreiber, was there for us. The in-office diagnostic and life saving measure taken when he lost consciousness due to a bacterial infection made me know right then and there I am in very competent hands. Cracking the puzzle of a stubborn 1 year long cough that didn't get figured out by our NYC ENT and immunologist made me have even more respect for the experience and knowledge of Dr. Schreiber. In the context of unnecessary antibiotic use and potential problems with resistance I am forever grateful that my kids' bodies have been treated with thoughtfulness and the long term in mind. Only using antibiotics when truly needed. These are just a few big moments from the number of years of consistent great care. There is a designated nurse and phone extension for triage where I am always able to get a quick answer about dosages or helping me gage whether the symptoms require a doc visit or not. The request for school forms, such as vaccination records, PE participation can be placed on line. The handling of the COVID 19 situation is great in my opinion. I had to visit with my 12 year old this past month. The day is split into two halves, one for sick and one for well visits. The front desk is moved to the very entry with health checks right at the door and answering a quick questionnaire about recent exposure and symptoms. As always, they are on top of it. Clean, efficient and, last but not least really tastefully decorated for the kids:) I feel very lucky that we found Dr. Schreiber and the BHPP practice.

NEVER EVER EVER go to Dr. Schreiber or her practice. Our 12-year old son was on a field trip away from home for a week. He developed a rash that he's had before for which one of the doctors in the practice had prescribed ointment. Although they couldn't pinpoint what was causing the rash, the ointment was the only thing that worked. The nurse on the field trip called us at home at around 8:30 pm PT and we immediately knew after talking to our son and the nurse that it was the same rash. We were also very worried parents because the rash tended to get worse quickly and was quite painful and our son was away from us in a different state. Dr. Schreiber was on call that night. We had very minimal interaction with her in the 3 years our children were going to her practice. I have never before been made to feel so horrible by ANY doctor, much less a pediatrician. I simply asked that she call the local pharmacy to put the prescription in for our son. He had one refill left, but it was not a Walgreen's prescription, but a CVS prescription. All she had to do was call in the prescription. Instead, she questioned us with a condescending tone, asked why we had called her so late and after the pharmacy had already closed. I explained to her the situation and did not want my son to spend another night in pain with his rash. All she had to do was leave a message on the pharmacy line so they could fill it first thing in the morning instead of waiting until 9:30 am pacific time when her practice opens. Local time for my son would have been 11:30 am and that meant another 4-5 hours of suffering. I told her if she couldn't call the pharmacy now could she call first thing in the morning. She literally said she doesn't "set her alarm for 6 am"!!!!! She doesn't get up that early. Can you believe that??? What if it had been an actual life or death emergency with my child??? Why is she a pedicatrician?? Why does she not trust the doctors on her staff?? Will she get up in the middle night if your child needs her?? I think not.
I hired Susan Schreiber when I was pregnant with my first baby, and now my yougest (I have two) is 17! I am sad they are getting too old because she is the best doctor I've ever had. Been through stitches, broken bones, ear infections, a very serious burn and at least one other very serious scare. She was always knowledgable, calming, non-alarmist and saved me from many a sleepless night with her no-nonsense assessments. She will not send your kid for endless testing where it is unwarranted, or worry you without cause, but will tell you the truth. She is rightfully very well respected in the Dr. community.
Dr. Schreiber is great. Beware - she uses an outside billing company. I've been disputing a bill since March of 2010, and just today, November 2, 2010 did her staff inform me of this. All this time her staff was saying "I'll look into it", "Let me see what we can do", etc. And then I called the doctor directly to leave a message for her to call me at the end of the day, and I was put on hold. The nurse came back on, and I could hear Dr. Schreiber in the background say "Tell her I don't get involved with billing. She needs to call my billing company." Nice customer service, right? Too bad - she's a great doctor but I've reached my limit. There are many other complaints I have with her staff, but I don't have the time or enough space to type it out.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
