List of The Roxbury Institute Dermatology's Reviews
I have mixed feelings about this place because the quality of care is excellent, but the administrative experience brings it down quite a few notches. On the positive side, my experience with the doctor and her assistant was outstanding. If I were rating based on the clinical care alone, it would easily be 5 stars. However, the front desk and overall communication system need serious improvement. From the beginning, interactions felt very minimal and disengaged, not necessarily rude, but not welcoming or particularly helpful. It feels like asking even basic questions is a burden. Also, there has been a consistent lack of follow-through. I called multiple times over the course of a few weeks to get clarification on a product recommendation from my doctor, and although I was told each time that they would check and get back to me, I never received a response. There are also some operational issues that make things more frustrating than they need to be. The website is not up to date with all of the services offered, so you have to call to get basic information, which is discouraging when responses are typically low effort, short, and dismissive. They expect you to call knowing exactly what you want. It feels very transactional. Any question you ask feels like too much, and it does not feel like a space where follow-up questions are welcomed. There is no easy way to cancel appointments online, and when I used their messaging system to cancel, I did not receive any confirmation and had to call later just to make sure it was actually canceled. I would still recommend the providers themselves, but I hope the office improves its communication, follow-through, and systems because it really impacts the overall patient experience.

AMAZING PLACE STELLAR
I came to the Roxbury Institute When I was struggling with acne. I was afraid and found it as a sensitive topic. Thankfully, Michael was able to help treat my acne, and I have now gone through a few sessions of micro needling with him. He has been so gentle and supportive through this entire process. I now constantly get compliments on how clear and good my skin is thanks to him. The entire team and office is so sweet and overall had such an amazing experience.
Michael is very knowledgeable in lasers and I always have a great experience! The entire office staff is very caring and accommodating.
I've been going to Roxbury for years & have always been totally satisfied with everything. Michael Bontekoe is fantastic, both very professional & warm and friendly. I can't recommend Roxbury highly enough.
i have always been skeptical with dermatologists but i am so grateful i decided to give them a chance. dr. jennifer ahdout is truly amazing! her honesty and kindness set me at ease right away. she is very transparent and understanding. i don’t even have insurance and still i will never go anywhere else from now on. a lovely experience from start to finish. highly recommend!
I love everyone here! 💕
Dr. Adhout is amazing. I’ve been going to her for a couple years for various treatments and she’s very transparent and honest in her consultations. A few times she’s steered me away from things she didn’t think were right for me (even though they were more expensive than what she recommended). She’s conservative with her suggestions in a great way — you don’t want to take chances with your face! And she also makes you feel very comfortable asking questions and discussing options.
Dr. Jennifer Ahdout is the best!! Conservative, natural looking results. Very caring, honest, and knowledgeable. I get compliments on my skin ALL THE TIME, and it’s all because of Dr. Jennifer Ahdout

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
