I recently had a: laser-discectomy. with Dr. Gravori. I've had sciatica for about 40 years now. Before the surgery I had extensive physical therapy. Years of chiropractic visits, along 3 or 4 epidural injections, and one Facet Rhizotomy in which that severe of a couple of nerves in my lower back. But none of that took away the pain. But after my procedure on tuesday, I feel better than I have in at least 40 yrs.
UPDATE! It's been three years since surgery and four since my accident. I feel it's important for others to know if you plan to use Pro-Med Spine and or Dr Todd Gravori, although treated nicely I was talked into waiting a year before surgery so I could switch to a PPO versus HMO to Todd could complete the surgery and charge the insurance. At the time I thought it was ok. Hindsight... I was on opiates for a year which lead to a near attempted suicide from the withdrawals. Add to this his office is still keeping from me closing out the settlement due to his office improperly filing paperwork and now coming to me (even though they know my attorney should handle this) asking me to contact the insurance company. The Surgery center was paid $293,000 without issue years ago. Due to his incompetent staff, I'm still suffering from the accident from 2015 without ever hearing from Gravori since a f/u after surgery. Don't let them bait and hook you as well!!!
I went to this clinic for a second opinion. Everyone from the secretary to the surgeon was so caring and helpful. I ended up having surgery by Dr. Gravori. It was fast and easy. Recovery was great. Very good communication before and after surgery. Great experience. Thank you
Dr. Gravori is the most caring doctor I have had. I had surgery with Dr. Gravori and he was very attentive to me. My surgery went very well and I am riding my bike again. He is really good.
Many many doctors rejected my brother. He was in pain and in a wheelchair. My coworker who had surgery with Dr. Gravori could not stop how appreciative he was after his surgery with Dr. Gravori. He made us make an appointment with Dr. Gravori. We saw Dr. Gravori who really took his time and evaluated my brother. He listened to us patiently and looked at all the xrays. Next day, he did laser surgery on my brother. He is now pain free and back to work. This is a miracle. THANK SOOOOOO MUCH
Dr. Gravori gave my brother back to our family. He was in a wheelchair for 2 years and nobody could help. Dr. Gravori used the laser to cure him. Our family and my brother could not be more grateful. Thanks to my co-worker who referred us to his office. Thank you, Dr. Gravori. If you have a spine problem, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Gravori FIRST.
I really owe my life to Dr. Gravori. He was very very patient and listened to me fully. No other doctor has ever taken so much time to care for me. He really cares. I had my surgery with Dr. Gravori and could not be happier. I am back to working out in the gym and riding my horse. THANK YOU
I had a pain that crippled me and was affecting my mood and marriage. I went to Dr. Gravori after many other doctors told me there was nothing to do for me. All other doctors told me that I have to be on medication for the rest of my life. Dr. Gravori saw me in his office and offered me surgery. He did the surgery and I am forever more grateful. My pain is gone. I have my life and my wife back. He is a God-sent. A compassionate human who is a great doctor too. His staff at the office were very professional and helpful. Thank you
I saw Dr. Gravori in August of 2017. I was suffering from two herniated disc in my lower back. The worst one was had a 1cm herniation. The pain had gotten pretty bad when I finally went to go see him. I had already tried physical therapy for six month and had three cortisone shots in my back. I am a 33 year old male and reasonable fit but my pain was so bad that I could only really be active for an hour or so before I had to lay down. I was having trouble sleeping, couldn't lift my infant children or do anything strenuous. I stopped rock climbing, surfing, lifting, running and even walking for longer than 20mins at a time. I was pretty depressed and felt like an 80 year old man. I was really apprehensive about surgery but went to talk to Dr. Gravori to see what my options were. He was really nice and personable and spent a lot of time answering all my questions. After a lot of weighing the pros and cons with Dr. Gravori I decided to go ahead and have a micro discectomy. The surgery went well and was over quickly. The recovery was really difficult for me and I had hard time with it. I was on a 5lb weight restriction for two months and I needed a back brace and a cane and help to even make it to the bath room in the beginning. My recovery went slow and several times I was worried that my slow recovery was due to something having gone wrong. Dr. Gravori gave me his personal cell phone number after the surgery and told me to just text him if I ever had any questions. I texted him and called him several times over the course of my recovery and he always responded quickly (even on a friday night) to help answer my questions and reassure me. It was a life safer and you could honestly tell he cared. Its been about 6 months since my surgery and i just had my last appointment with him. The surgery worked and I can now lift my kids, do pilates and I walked for about 4 hours at Disneyland with little to no pain. I am mostly just out of shape now since I didnt use my back muscles for so long. I think in another six months I will be back to my normal life which is honestly something I thought was lost to me. I highly recommend Dr. Gravori if you are in a similar situation. He is very open, direct and very personal. I honestly felt like he really cared and I could trust him.
I am a 65 year old male that has been riding dirt bikes and motorcycles in general since I was 10 years old. I have been racing desert, baja and motocross for over 35 years and have endured the consequences of this rough sport until my body said "enough". After 6 weeks of PT my chiropractor recommended that I get an MRI and visit Dr. Gravori for his opinion. Simply speaking, I had bone spurs in my neck with a ruptured disk (C 6-7) and ruptured disks in my lower back (L 4-5 and S-1). In October of 2015 I had my neck fused and in November of 2015 I had my lower back fused as well. What a difference! I feel like I am now in the best shape of my life! I have regained my appetite, I sleep like a baby in any position that I like, and I am back riding again! I am so happy that I found Dr. Gravori as his work is perfect and a pleasure to be around. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Gravori and his thoughtful staff.
Dr. Gravori is the truth. I was referred over to his office due to a herniated disk which was causing me constant jolts of pain. I was having back spasms and stabbing pain constantly throughout the day. When I met him he told me he could help me out. Im in physical therapy recovering now. I can only say is that I am beyond grateful to have met him and to those who are hesitant or worried, Dr. Gravori can help and is a man of his word. Thank You !
He is a miracle worker. Loved to see him as my doctor. Nice and Curtsies staff. But I give 5 star to his personality.
I really liked the service of the staff and how quick the appointments were. Dr. Gravori is a very good surgeon. It's been almost a year ago since my surgery and I have no complaints. Thank you!
Besides being rude and arrogant when discussion my case, I found that he billed the insurance company $1500 for a 30 minute consult. How can someone trust a doctor the egregious?
I was in an accident and was on a wheelchair with a broken back. I had a 10 hour operation after many many tests that the doctor did. Fast forward 3 months and I am now walking with my family at a beach enjoying a much needed vacation. I really owe my life and my family to this doctor.
If you've been experiencing prolonged back pain or spinal issues you must see Dr. Todd Gravori at ProMedSpine. This talented neurosurgeon knocked it out of the park for me and I recommend him very highly. If there were 10 stars on Yelp, he'd get every single one. Let me tell you the short version of my story: For more than 7 years I had been dealing with ever more debilitating pain in my lower back diagnosed as spinal stenosis, herniated discs, bone on bone arthritis and a whopper of a case of sciatica. This combination defied treatment of all sorts or even prolonged relief despite the series of everything you can possibly do. . Dr. Gravori's online credentials were impressive and this fantastic doctor and neurosurgeon lived up to my high expectations. I cannot begin to tell you how my life has changed. My back feels much much better than it has in nearly a decade. I wake up in the morning on a positive note instead of in dread of the pain filled day in front of me. My surgery was scheduled, thoroughly explained in regular terms and the office staff called me frequently to ensure we were all on the same page right up to surgery day. I had "microscopic" surgery that was pretty detailed yet I have two not-too-bad scars on my lower back and a totally changed outlook on life. Eight months post-op, I actually feel pretty "good." Sleeping through the night without getting up 3-4 times to walk around and alleviate the pain seems downright miraculous. This is a real patient review and you can email me directly through Yelp.
Very good Bedside manner. You can tell Dr Gravori really cares about his patients.
Take a few minutes to read my review. It is my story and it's real. After 20 years of chronic back pain, countless doctor visits over the past 2 decades, with the usual "you have DDD (degenerative disk disease),do therapy (made it worse actually)" I was tired of that answer. FF to a few months ago, where my nerve pain has progressively gotten worse, wasn't even sure that was possible, since my pain was so bad for years. I decided to spend a lot of time researching doctors online, looking for the Dr. that I felt was truthful and honest in his online videos and such. There are so many Neurosurgeon/back surgeons that it's quite overwhelming and confusing. I felt the click with Dr,Gravori, so I went ahead and made an appointment. Office staff (Angie) was great and very responsive. The day came, Dr. Gravori saw me (at his Valencia office), did his visual and touch test on my spine, and came to a conclusion that, my massive pain (for 20 yrs, I am only 45) was actually not caused by my spine. I do have slight DDD but not enough to cause this massive pain. He confidently said, "I know the problem." I said great, what is it? I have a not so common case where my 12th rib is rubbing the nerve. So the Dr. prescribed a cortisone shot to the area. If this were to work, the diagnosis would be correct. So I went ahead and did it. The pain has been so bad for so long, if I was told to cut off my toe I would. I had the shot done, and here we are over a month later and I have no pain.I haven't slept this good in 15 years. I didn't even know what pain free meant until a month ago. The diagnosis was correct, and even if the pain were to come back, I know what the next step would be, as the Dr. explained that to me thoroughly as well. I can have the nerve burned that usually lasts quite a while. It is comforting to say the least, that I now have a Dr. that is more dedicated to diagnosing a problem than recommending surgery (that was never even discussed btw). Nice to know there really is a Doctor like Dr. Gravori that really cares about his patients. He is an extremely nice down to earth man on top of everything else. I can keep rambling on, but you should get what I am saying. Feel free to send me an email through Yelp if you need more info on what my pain was and how bad it was.It was RIDICULOUS! I highly recommend Dr. Gravori! Even my wife asked me to thank the Dr.! As you know, pain makes us GRUMPY, aggravated and who knows what else! I have had no grumpy stuff going on for a month now! My and kids are almost as happy as me!Rant over. Dinner is on me Dr.G!! You name it! Mastros, whatever!
After spin fission, got worse than prior to surgery. Funny thing is, when I went back to him & complimed about my pain, he started to have a witness in room (being afraid of me suing him) & denied complete responsibility of all the pain that I had. God will answer him ONE DAY, hope I'll be around that day.
I had been suffering with pain for a couple of decades and had 4 surgeries on my spine before finding Dr. Gravori. He was the only one of my doctors who REALLY listened to me and tested my entire body. It turns out I had never needed spine surgery and he did a small surgery on my right leg (just behind my knee) and my pain of 25 years disappeared just like that. I really appreciated his office staff helping me with all the insurance papers and appointments, especially Maggie. My surgery was 45 minutes and I was driving my kids to school the next day. Thank You.
