List of Wexler Medical Partners's Reviews
I don’t usually write reviews for doctors, but what Dr. Wexler has done for me is nothing short of life changing. For over two decades, I battled complicated conditions. I worked with several psychiatrists (local and long distance), but none brought real relief, in fact, most treatments made things worse to the point where it made me isolated in my home. I was exhausted, emotionally drained, and had all but given up on the idea that things could improve. Then I found Dr. Wexler. From our very first session, I felt genuinely heard and understood. He offers a level of care that goes beyond standard protocols thoughtful and personalized. His approach isn’t just clinical; it’s intuitive and grounded in real compassion. He sees the full person, not just a diagnosis. Thanks to him, I’ve experienced something, I didn’t think was possible: real hope and meaningful healing. If you’re feeling stuck, overlooked, or hopeless, Dr. Wexler might be the turning point you’ve been searching for.
My mother has been under Dr. Wexler’s care for over five years, and I honestly can’t imagine where I’d be without him. From the start, he took my mother’s “female issues,” rheumatoid arthritis, and complex hormone and pain concerns seriously, collaborating closely with the rheumatologist, gynecologist, and primary care team so everyone stayed on the same page. Having battled depression and anxiety for as long as she can remember, my mother has grown accustomed to a carousel of prescriptions—each one promising relief but rarely delivering. Dr. Wexler looked beyond the “add-a-pill” approach and instead listened until he understood the root of her symptoms. He introduced my mother to natural adjuncts—nutrition tweaks, gentle yoga, guided meditation—that, together with the right medications, have brought her lasting relief. What I appreciate most is seeing all her doctors talk to each other. That level of coordination, combined with his genuine compassion and willingness to explore every avenue (including lifestyle and mind–body practices), has transformed her quality of life. I’m forever grateful for his expertise, his patience, and the hope he’s given my mother. Highly recommend.
I had been to dozens of psychiatrists prior to seeing Dr Wexler. All which failed to treat my severe nausea, bouts of vomiting, panic attacks, fatigue and so on. Seemed like it was due to some negative bias given my past history. It was very severe and ruined my life. I was misdiagnosed until I spoke to wexler. He immediately diagnosed me with bipolar and started treatment. Without going into more details, all i can say is that he is an extremely intelligent, understanding and amazing psychiatrist. He listened to me and NEVER dismisses how I am feeling. He ensures he will do whatever he can to solve that problem. He saved my life. I was incapable of living a normal life before I met him. Thank you Dr wexler for saving my life and giving me a reason to get up and push myself everyday. I cannot recommend him enough
David is a great psychiatrist. He is a colleague whom we share patients with at Ketamine Clinics Los Angeles and he is always collaborative, available, and kind. In addition to being a great colleague, David also cared for a family member of mine who had a very complicated mood disorder with co-occurring psychiatric and physical conditions. His commitment, compassion, and willingness to consider input from family was very valuable to us. He provides a typewritten medication list and progress note after every visit and distributes them to the entire treatment team. This level of attention to detail and communication has made all the difference for my family. Thank you, David!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wexler’s for a year and a half. As an adult, I’ve shied away from treating my mental health issues with more than just counseling. I frequently have bad/unexpected reactions to medications, and was misdiagnosed in the past. It’s tough to find a doctor who will listen, understand your challenges, digest your complete history, and find something that really works. Dr. Wexler is that doctor. He understands how to use old and new meds, stays current with developments in the field, and is able to tailor treatment when typical SSRIs or SNRIs don’t do the job. Dr. Wexler brings 30 years of experience plus curiousity, humanity and a patient-centric focus to his practice. He explains his approach throughout, ensures I’m comfortable with the path we’re taking, and is able to make the science behind what he’s doing accessible.
Dr. Wexler is the only psychiatrist I’ve ever known who truly understands me and my personal struggles with mental health. As an unlikely survivor of a series of rare medical incidents, the integrity of my brain has been absolutely crucial to my recovery; Dr. Wexler has been there for me from the very beginning. The level of care I’ve received from Dr. Wexler has been extraordinary. His attention to minute detail and out of the box approach to treatment-resistant depression has quite literally saved my life more than once. I will be forever grateful to have a genuinely passionate and considerate psychiatrist like Dr. Wexler in my life!
Dr. Wexler is an incredibly knowledgeable and caring doctor. He has been helping me for over 4 years, and I can honestly say that my life changed for the better. Not only did he formulate a perfect treatment plan for my situation, he also spent the time to help me understand why the treatment works as well as it does. It's always a joy talking to him, and I'm so glad that Dr. Wexler's there to help me enjoy what life has to offer!
Dr Wexler is an exceptional, compassionate, brilliant and cutting-edge Dr who has helped me tremendously! In numerous ways. What a blessing he is! I’m truly grateful for him- can’t thank him enough!
Dr. Wexler's expertise in psychopharmacolgy has given me a chance to have a life worth living instead of just an existence. He was the first to prescribe antidepressants for me and he shepherded me through the process of finding what worked for me. He knows psychopharmacology so well that he can combine different drug types to effectively treat the issue. Occasionally, one of the drugs I'm taking loses its efficacy and Dr. Wexler works tirelessly to find a substitute to address the problem. Dr. Wexler is a kind and compassionate man. If you are lucky enough to be his patient, you will have a medical professional dedicated to your well-being.
Dr. Wexler is the most helpful, reliable, & quick doctor you will ever find in this country. He is the last psychiatrist that I will see in my lifetime. Before seeing Dr. Wexler, I had been through multiple shrinks, many meds, many misdiagnoses, & alternative treatments. Now, all I can say is that Dr. Wexler is "the one." He has helped me cover each/every one of my ongoing health issues. I would say he is easily the best psychiatrist I've seen while living in California. He approaches his psychopharmacology work in the most compassionate but pragmatically effective way–like a brain surgeon. He has already helped me tons, & I'm looking forward to continuing my mental health journey with Dr. Wexler. I really can't thank him enough for his help or explain how much he has helped in words. Try to see Dr. Wexler if you're going through tough times/lost; He can & will pick you up off the ground & guide you back to your life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
