Kindred Hospital Brea's Online Review Report Card

I had two recent stays at this facility due to an amputation of my foot. The staff made my here very memorable. The staff here is incredible. From the PT/OT staff Pam=Irene/Jaime/Jeff, to the Patient Advocate Veronica, the nurses like Michael/CNAs/helpers especially Maricela, doctors, dialysis nurses, as well as the case manager. They all made me feel welcome and almost like family. They are very caring and listen to.your concerns. I was new to all this but they helped keep me on the right track to healing and getting stronger. I am grateful to the staff and can't thank them enough for helping me transition through this challenging and difficult situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am a patient at Kindred. I became a patient here because my wound was not healing. This hospital has a great wound care nurse and my wound is almost healed. They spent hours with me to make sure I am healing and getting Stronger. I am thankful for my surgeon Dr. Bergey for sending me to Kindred Brea where I am getting the best care. Dr. Faruki is very caring and always kept me up to date with my treatment plan. I healed faster than I thought I would and that's because of all the great staff. TODAY WAS MY FIRST DAY TO COME TO THE GYM TO RIDE THE BIKE AND IT MAKES ME FEEL REALLY EXCITED BECAUSE I AM MOVING TO THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I WANT TO GIVE SHOUT OUTS TO ALL MY NURSES AND THERAPIST AND EVERYBODY WHO HAD PARTS IN MY CARE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANYONE. IF YOU CAN'T WALK YOU WILL BE WALKING BUT YOU HAVE TO BE A FIGHTER. IF YOU WANT TO GET BETTER YOU NEED TO FIGHT AND DO THE WORK.

Our love one suffered a stroke and an anuresim we were so overwhelmed. Our worries were soon quashed with her arrival here at Kindred. Her case workers help us to navigate thru all the decisions. When she arrived here she was not speaking or moving at all. Now she is speaking and participating in her therapy. Kindred has a wonderful staff. This place is clean, organized and patient friendly. We are so grateful for all of them. We would highly recommend Kindred hospital. A special thank you to Irene, Robert, Jose and to all the physical therapist and nurses. You all are angels and appreciated.

I give this place 5 star because nurses are great, they treat you good. They take care of their patient fast and with excellent care. They are sweet loving, respectful, helpful, and they spend time with you and talk to you. The ICU is smaller so they can attend to their patient fast. They are very clean and tidy!!!

I would like to recognize the nurses by the name of Tes P. & Teresa D. These nurses were great ,they were very patient & helpful all the way to the end . So was the patient rep. Veronica . She was great all the way to the end . I hope this hospital appreciates Veronica she is a great employee she definitely goes above & beyond for families . Kindred Brea picked a great Patient Representative.

My Husband was taken there in a semi comatose state, he was a very sick man, but they brought him out of his state and little by little he became coherent. He left there able to speak, stand up & walk a short distance thanks to his physical therapist Majorie, and Amy. Amir who is in charge of P/T was always so upbeat & Positive. Judith who is the activities director was always so helpful and kind. Nursing staff were all so pleasant, kind and kept me posted as to what changes were going on. If your lucky enough to get a loved one there then you have been blessed.  We can't Thank you Enough.With much thankfulness & appreciation. The Amaro Family

This Hospital is great . I go visit my mom every day. The staff do a good job keeping me informed on what’s going on with my mom . From they ICU to they regular rooms. I’m happy with the care she is getting . When my mom first got there I had a meeting with several staff like the case managers , rehab, the pharmacist , and patient representative. They all informed me on they plan and it’s been going good since my mom been there for about a month already . The rooms are cleaned daily and so is my mom. Also the patient representative (Veronica R.) goes above and beyond to make sure your happy with the care your family is getting . She is amazing and kind .All the staff has been great . I would definitely recommend this place .

Numerous outstanding staff, RN's, RVN's, etc. who were great and helpful. Low on staff. Meal quality very poor, always cold, couldn't eatWish l had more rehab. The one month there, only 15 minutes in gym. Was moved to another facility and recieved immediate response. Do not recommend.

Kindred Hospital - Brea location is AMAZING! The staff is beyond caring, helpful and invested in their patients! The PT staff (Amir & Jamie) truly care about their patients well being and recovery. They are so hard working and make the therapy process much more bearable for everyone. Their commitment to their patients is unbelievable.

Here I am again at Kindred Hospital Subacute Unit due to experiencing another bout of Congestive Heart Failure.Last time I was here was in 2020. While some people have moved on there were a number of people that I remembered and they remembered me from my first visit.I want to say Thank you to all for another fantastic experience of going through rehab again.The CNA’s were very good. Alicia and Bridget were great and very attentive to my needs.The nurses were very good with my meds and in checking my blood sugars.Rodney, my case worker, worked very hard to help me in many ways. He went out of his way many times.Kudos to Judith, Social Director, who supplied me with all the art supplies which helped keep my mind busy and sharp.Extra thanks to the Physical Training group led by Amir for all their help in getting me stronger and up and walking. Amir, Francis, Jamie, Marge and Nate worked so hard to insure my success.I want to thank Amanda, Dietitian Manager, for all the good meals. She has succeeded in spite of all the problems dealing with all the supply issue related to the pandemic.There are so many good, professional people here whose whole goal is the continued mental and physical improvement of their patients.
