One star for charging me the $10 copay without checking me in. Waited for 1 hour to find out that the lady in window 8 didn't check me in (Estela Cabral). And to make it worst I got a couple of mosquito bites in the lobby. Good thing is the Dr. was good (Dr. Lim) I will never come back here ever again.
worst customer service here with the compassion from the dr or nursing staff... but the wait isnt too bad. got helped right away. Also, i agree with other reviews here about feeling like the dr doesnt really care to spend time to understand the symptoms, there seems to be no care to it or something. I felt sad i even came here, rather to go another kaiser.
I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE THEY OPENED THE OFFICE HERE IN BREA, I have not one thing to complain about. They get you right in on time, I have Dr. Mathur and he is just great, he takes as much time as you need, he goes over EVERYTHING, immunizations, health, how you are doing now, anything that is giving you a problem, he is just great, 5 stars! I HIGHLY recommend him.
I've never been so impressed by this hospital or any hospital in my life, and this is why I'm taking the time to write this but from the start, I walked in from what I thought with a broken ankle on a whim hoping anyone would see me and immediately I was helped by 45 different people I got Xrays my ankle thoroughly checked by my amazing doctor (Dr. Chang I believe) and in and out within 2 hours and didn't even have an appointment. I truly appreciate it a lot to everyone that helped me today! Thank you!
I changed my primary doctor to this location since it's closer to my home what a big mistake. The staff is fine but the doctor I got is always late and rude. Last visit I was there I waited an hour before I started to leave when Nurse apologized and got the doctor. When he walk in his statement was "I'm not going to on time so if you want someone who is going to be prompt you should change your primary doctor". So far this statement describes my Kaiser Permanente experience. I had different medical plan and was seeing a doctor at St. Joseph and didn't realize how good I had it. Maybe I don't understand the Kaiser system works but it's closer to DMV experience even if you make an appointment it could be an hour or two just to speak to the doctor. Yes, I'm changing my primary doctor again and wonder how many more times I'll need to change before I can find someone that cares about the level of service they provide.
My doctor, while kind in conversation, completely disregarded my wishes and was skimpy on general health services.<br><br>In one instance, I was instructed by a nurse to undress for a breast exam, so I comply. But when the doctor came in she said she would not be performing a breast exam on me, because "studies show that women are less likely to check themselves, as they assume yearly checkups from their doctors mean they'll be fine for at least the rest of the year." And while I understand that logic, that's where the conversation stopped. She never asked me if I checked myself (I do), had me demonstrate how I check myself, or anything to promote selfawareness. Sat in front of her with my boobs hanging out for no goddamn reason.<br><br>In another instance, I walked in for one appointment, and had really high blood pressure (I only had caffeine in my system, and work had been particularly stressful that day). Was told to come back the next day, and lo and behold normal blood pressure. The doctor was concerned about the single occurrence, and wanted to wean me off the pill in a couple years. Made a completely inappropriate comment that "I'm sure you'd rather have an unplanned pregnancy than a stroke" (spoiler alert: I'd rather have the stroke), but I agreed to give another method of birth control a try in a two years. Well, when she filled my prescription, I was pissed to find she was only giving me one month's worth. Like, was she expecting me to ask for permission to have control over my reproductive choices every month for the next two years? DON'T THINK SO, LADY.<br><br>Immediately went to another Kaiser facility, where another doctor confirmed the breast exam issue was ridiculous, and since my blood pressure had only been high once, there was no reason I couldn't continue to stay on the pill if I wanted to.<br><br>So deuces to this stupid place. Don't ever be afraid to get a second opinion.
****UPDATE****<br><br>Kathy the floor manager contacted me a few days ago to get a better idea of what happened, after explaining to her the incident and a good 35 minutes on the phone with me I want to say thank you and I appreciate the time you took to personally reach out to me and go over the investigation and the actions that are being taken so this doesn't happen again to anybody.<br><br>I feel a whole lot better and I want to let people know that this has nothing to do with the hospital or any other staff members. My review was strictly for the nurse who saw my daughter during her 6 month visit. Thank you Kathy for reassuring me my experience will be completely different moving forward.
This was my first time at the Brea location. My son's primary doctor is in Tustin. This place is really clean and the receptionists are friendly. <br><br>The parking lot had solar panels which I thought was really cool. Parking is all around the medical center. <br><br>My son saw Dr. Hall in Peds. She was really cool and actually eased my son's nerves since he was afraid he would need a shot. She made him laugh and also had him cracking jokes. So far my son has come to this facility twice in a week and I really like it. <br><br>Too bad here was no snack bar or vending machines!
Let me start by saying I do not like Kaiser. I've had it all my life and I have a very low opinion of them, considering how great my husband's insurance is compared to mine (Blue Cross) I currently go to college out of state and all I am covered for is Urgent Care and Emergency Room. Meanwhile my husband gets to go to any orthopedic surgeon of his choosing for a sprained ankle and get multiple opinions if he wants, even though he's in a different state (Idaho vs Arizona). I used to see Dr. Nguyen here before he moved to the La Habra offices. While I found he was much more caring than other doctors, he did not take a shoulder injury of mine seriously and neither will anyone at Kaiser. (Sidenote: I cannot STAND his nurse that's assigned to him. She is so rude, pronounces my name wrong every single time even though I correct her and explain how it's pronounced, and she tries to gossip with me about random things. She is so unprofessional, I dread seeing her every time I go in). I can't get an MRI referral for the life of me. They did an XRay and said nothing wrong was showing there then sent me to 1 physical therapy appointment and the therapist tried to tell me all I am is tight in my shoulder because I'm not as active as I used to be in high school (yet I told her that I am still active) even though I told her about my brachial plexus injury I had at birth that has left me with nerve damage and limited range of motion my entire life. She claimed there could not possibly be any other reason for my pain even though I told her about 10 times that it is not a chronic injury. I asked her how I can get an MRI before I went back to school because I have been in horrible pain for over a year and she said it was completely unnecessary. She acted like I came in there for my brachial plexus injury even though both me and my husband (who came with me) told her so many times I was not there about that). I hate Kaiser. My poor mom has had to deal with the same thing for a back injury. It seems none of the doctors believe their patients and it's like pulling teeth and takes several appointments over the course of several months to finally get to the bottom of an ailment that you came in for. I have a year left until I will receive my own benefits and you better believe I'm not taking a job if all they offer is Kaiser. Nope nope nope.
I came here at peak hours and they had two people checking patients in, completely understaffed as the line was outside not far from the sidewalk entrance. Needless to say we were late for our appt.
While the support staff have all been great, I can't believe that Dr. Nguyen spent less that 5 minutes with me, and without even doing a thorough exam on the wound I was concerned about decided to tell me, "I think that's a mole" EVEN THOUGH IT WASNT. Then he zapped me with some liquid nitrogen so "it'll just fall off."<br><br>And then a month later, I get hit with a $209 bill from some guy that spent less than 5 minutes with me, assumed what was wrong without even knowing me or my medical history, and didn't bother to address my concerns.<br><br>It was a HUGE mistake on my end to come to Kaiser in Brea. Never, ever again.
I changed jobs and decided to try out Kaiser to be my family's insurance provider. Very streamlined and the doctors have always been incredibly pleasant to work with. Dr. Joon is very knowledgable and has a great bedside manner. Highly recommended.
Love their streamlined setup. Wish it was more up to date like the Kraemer medical offices but they are smaller and less busy so it makes up for it.
Came here for a regular check out and waited less than 2 minutes before being called in. (My appointment was on a Monday at 3:40) <br><br>The individual who checked me in was very friendly and professional and she gave me a tote bag (yay!)<br><br>Overall the appointment was quick and painless. Plus side, I can email my doctor (Dr. Park) for any questions or concerns I may have.
If anyone is looking for a truly exceptional physician that cares about his patients and always goes that extra mile, Dr. Sun's the man for you. Dr. Sun encourages me to contact him via email with any questions or concerns regarding my health and responds promptly. I personally consider Doctor Sun not only my personal Physician, but my friend. I wish all that read my review experience the same service and compation I have received over the past several years. Thank you again Dr. Sun for all you do to improve the lives of your patience.
This is my second time visiting this clinic. Mind you, I'm a new Kaiser member and a reluctant one at that. I've had PPO the better part of my life and I've heard nothing but horror stories about Kaiser. After having visited here, I can honestly say that the service and expedience is absolutely wonderful.<br>Whatever the history was with my friends who have complained about Kaiser, I didn't see it here. I was able to schedule same day appointments both times and even got Xrays and labs done on the same day as my appointments.<br>My 3 year old, who was also sick, needed to be seen right after me, so the nurse who took my vitals also took my son's and relayed it to the nurse in pediatrics across the way: talk about team work!<br>I also received a call from a clerk about scheduling my physical therapy near my work and I told her I was in one of the examining rooms. She brought the contact information directly to me. Now that's service!<br>Check in is a breeze with iPad type kiosks and when you need prescriptions, it's the same type of kiosk.<br>From Xray to labs to pharmacy, it's all under one roof.<br>The doctors and nurses are first rate and I am now, albeit surprised, a Kaiser fan.
Everyone from Dr to nurse made me feel comfortable. I'm happy to make this my main medical center.
Terrible service! I have yet to see a Dr. since they've reschedule twice already. First appt, dr. called out sick, then the 2nd time, dr. decided to take a day off. This will be my first appt with Kaiser. I've never had any issues with HMO Blue Shield doctors. I regret switching over. Do they not respect patient's time? Worst is that I received calls same day of my appt to reschedule. Plus, the telephone reps are not apologetic or caring. How can I rely or trust my doctor at a place like this calling out sick or taking a day off without coverage??
Terrible service! What has happened to Kaiser recently. I've called two days in a row at 8am to get a same day appointment and been turned away as no availability. Why is it called urgent care same day appointment if you can't get an appointment the same day? I pay a lot of money for medical care and can't get in probably because all the Obama Care people that receive free medical care are taking all the appointments!
My family and I have been here multiple times and we've been mostly pleased. I myself have had a pleasant experience every time that I've been there. The only reason why this place isn't getting a five star review is because my wife felt uncomfortably pressured by my kids' pediatrician to give the kids their flu shot, even if she expressed that she didn't want them to get a flu shot. We're not against vaccinations, we vaccinate our kids, but we're on the fence with the flu shot. Other than that, we've had pleasant experiences.
