MIchael Kassels's Online Review Report Card

My first appointment was so so. I had an urgent need to see a doctor this morning as I believe I have a bladder infection. I called and they kindly said they would fit me in. I arrived ten minutes prior to the time they offered me. I waited for an hour in pain and needing to use the restroom. I chose to leave without seeing the doctor. I probably should have asked for a timeframe as to how long I would wait. I am now at an urgent care place right by my house. I could have saved the time and money and started here to begin with. I canceled my future appointment and will seek another doctor that runs a tighter practice.

Doctors practice approach seems more naturalist than meds good for those preferring holistic body/mind healing instead of pharmaceutical reliance.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Kassels for a year now and he has been very responsive and informative to each of our needs. We love that the practice includes his family members and they are always happy to see us. We are very happy to have found a practice that we can count on for all of our medical needs.

The positive side of this review is based upon visiting Melina Bell, PA who is very capable, compassionate and a knowledgeable professional who I consider my primary care physician. I have not seen Dr. Kassels as a patient and I probably wont ever because if the (Concord) office is any reflection of his personal practices, then I have no interest. The office is entirely too small and dated. I cannot believe there is a medical office in 2016 that still uses so much paper the place is completely cluttered and it is an old house not a professional medical office building. The staff is rude and entirely slow at EVERYTHING. There is a very nice gentlemen at reception but beyond him and Melina Bell, there is no hope for a pleasant experience. The staff is clearly overworked (probably from handwriting on paper) and completely overwhelmed with no hope of improvement OR they just have poor attitudes for a different reason. And to top it all off, some times the phones dont work. If not for Melina, there is no way Id step foot in this place ever again. Oh, and every single time I go (approx every 3months) there is a new nurse.

Dirty with OLD OLD equipment and furniture. Place is an old house and doc is never around. Has assistants meet with patients. Clearly a money making option ONLY and not in the nest interest of the patient. LEFT

A visit to Dr.Kassels defys the laws of physics... few patients in the waiting room... a stunningly long wait for a room followed by another endless wait to be seen.. the harried doc rushing in and out, always with the disclaimer: make a follow up appt with us in a month... what exactly is the good doc doing that causes such delay? Why the dour and relentlessly unhelpful admin staff? Why, after years as a patent, must I make an appointment for EVERY refill? I dreaded starting over with a new doc so much that someone else had to point out that Dr. Kassels just didnt seem to CARE about me. That did it. Made the switch.

Will try to bill you for as many extras as possible. Getting him to pay attention to your medical issues is challenging. He will perscribe without understanding the porblem and/or the treatment completely, can cause more harm,

I was quite happy with my care in this practice and continue to be relaxed in what use to be a stressful situation for me. After several years now I am confident and happy with the complete package. I gave a knowledgeable and friendly physician who see the challenging patient like me. I had several other Mds discharge me do to the complex health needs I have. Not Dr. Kassels. He helped me find a solution to a number of my problems. Yes I still have issues nut for the first tome in years I am accomplishing change for the better. I appreciate this practice, the helpful staff and their making a difference in my life.

I could tell right from the start that this doctor is only in the field for the money and not for the patient or the love of medicine.... very sad to say. He forces you to make regular appointments even though they is nothing major wrong with me. He is very rude even if you question anything he says. Thanks God I have many choices. I even heard him swearing at someone recently.

I believe honest and accuracy of diagnosis are the most important attributes in a MD. This guy Rocks and I mean it!! I have not found a better communicator, willing to listen and helpful in so many ways. I know I am a difficult patient, blessed with poor genes, my care needs are emense and all others drs. seem to give me the brushoff. Dr. Kassels and staff dont and for this I appreciates him and the careing friendly,staff he employs. Above all i trust the practice and the Dr. has improved my quality of life. I recommend him to all my family and friends
