My husband and I are new patients. Setting an appointment with the receptionist lady have shown no phone etiquette already. Upon checking our insurance multiple times which is supposed to be their jobs and looking at me as I dont know what type insurance I have. A horrible front desk ever you dealing with. As months passed. Finally got my statement of co pays. My husband and I owed total of 200 out of pocket cost. His receptionist have to call my work just to collect co pays. I managed a dental office and I collect co pays as well with manners. I hope all the staff of this practice go on training how to handle patient care and handling phone etiquette.
I would never recommend this guy. I thought I was speaking with a doctor. Had a telehealth appt with him and pretty much held his hands of explaining all my symptoms and issues. He asked about 2 questions and then summed it up and prescribed something that was over priced and not the same medication I’ve been taking which I showed him. No effort, no help and no medical recommendations! Go see an actual doctor that is able to ask the proper questions about you and not make you do all the work and prescribed something that’s not needed
After being a long patient of Lakowski (20 years) his service has declined terribly. I wont waste my breathe. I will be changing primary doctors soon.
Both Dr Lakowsky and Dr Batlin are phenomenal doctors. They listen well and respond very quickly always. Dr Lakowsky has a great sense of humor and I always leave and office visit, phone call or email feeling better already. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to find their practice.
Wonderful Doctor with a great personal manner and able to put you at ease very responsive. Really looked out for us and the care is excellent.
I had a TeleHealth appointment with Dr. Lakowsky for concerns pertaining to COVID-19, and as someone who suffers from anxiety, my home situation escalated and accentuated my anxiety. I truly believed I had an exposure with a sibling who had COVID-19, and Dr. Lakowsky was condescending and rude. He made a remark about my past doctor visits and how many I had had (again, due to my anxiety, and my insurance covers it, so he and the rest of the TeleHealth doctors are being paid regardless of how many frequent visits I make). He said that my bigger issue here was my anxiety and essentially made me feel terrible about my past visits and anxiety. If I'm on Lexapro, which I show that I am on the website, maybe it would be for the exact anxiety you're describing? And so what if your patient is anxious? We're in the middle of a pandemic. I urge you to be more mindful of how you talk to your patients and treat them. I understand I’m young and have anxiety, but I shouldn’t be made to feel bad about services you’re paid to work.
I had an online visit with Dr Lakowsky as a new patient. His office offered either video consultation or in person appointment and I chose the former due to the pandemic fears. I was very impressed by the tech savvy office and the doctor himself. He was very professional, courteous and funny. He seemed knowledgeable about by condition and offered good advice. I would highly recommend.
Horrible doctor... I honestly don't know how he got a medical degree. He misdiagnosed MULTIPLE different physical problems I had including: a shoulder impingement and scapular dyskinesis. He simply dismissed my concerns, saying it was "excessive inflammation" and advised me to take 600mg of advil when it hurts... WELL IT HURTS ALL THE TIME. What kind of doctor does this? I saw a doctor that actually cared about his patients down at UC San Diego and he told me my first doctor had (AND I QUOTE VERBATIM) "Absolutely no idea what he was doing" AVOID DR. LAKOWSKY AT ALL COSTS HE NEEDS TO HAVE HIS MEDICAL LICENSE REVOKED.
Had an online visit with this doctor for bronchitis and asthma symptoms. Told me he was gonna send over 2 steroids and a antibiotic to my pharmacy. Only sent advair and antibiotic. When I called to strayed it out, the staff was extrememy rude and wouldn’t fix the issue. Paid 70$ for the visit. For them to tell me to go to my local urgent care if I wanted a prednisone prescription. Highly disappointed and 70$ poorer for using him.
Dr Lakowsky’s has been my primary care physician for well over 10 years. I could not be happier with his care and concern for my well being.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
