List of Kali Zivitz's Reviews
Though Dr. Zivitz does have a kind bedside manner, I found her attitude to be a rather careless one and she has a more "brush it off" style than I am used to in other pediatricians we have worked with. My son has had some unusual colic issues since infancy, and instead of showing empathy and support, she seemed to wonder why I cared so much and told me that because he is my first, I'm likely overblowing things. Whether or not she has a point, it made me feel invalidated and unheard, and we stopped seeing her after that.

Dr. Zivitz has taken care of our three boys for about a decade. She is warm and knowledgeable. She has been correct with every diagnosis and recommendation thus far. I highly recommend her.
Technically proficient, cold and judgmental bedside manner. We've seen Dr. Zivitz for a number of years. She seems uncomfortable and undertrained in the areas of mental health. I advise finding a different pediatrician if you have a child who needs warmth and personalized medical attention.
Dr. Zivitz is an excellent pediatrician! I trust her completely with the care of my children. During a visit, she starts by listening attentively to my children and me. Then, she has nice, gentle way of conducting an exam and asking questions. After urgent care visits, Dr. Zivitz has followed up with me to make sure any issues are resolved, she has called to share test results as soon as they are available, and she is always available for questions. It is such a relief to know that Dr. Zivitz is looking out for my children's physical and mental wellbeing.
Dr Zivitz has been an excellent doctor for my teenagers. She speaks directly and intelligently to them, she listens very well and she asks questions in a way that gets them to reveal issues that need to be attended to. As kids get older they are less likely to speak to their parents about their health and well-being, but somehow Dr Zivitz can get mine to talk and tell her what is going on with them. They come away from their appointments with her in an excellent frame of mind and with a great deal more knowledge about what they should be doing and how they should be doing it than when they went in. I recommend her very highly. I recommend her very highly.
I have known Dr. Kali for years and my kids love her!! I have always been impressed with her ability to talk to my kids and treat them like partners in the care that she gives. I think this is super important as my kids are a bit older and they need to learn how to advocate for themselves. She has been great at asking them questions directly, working with all of us to get them the best care, and being super patient with them (and me :))Couldn't ask for a better doctor!
If only I could give zero star! Be mindful I am only giving a review based on one visit with this doctor. My 2 year old was in constant high fever for over 2 days, and since my primary doctor in the same clinic was not available, I jumped at first available time (mistake!!). Unlike my primary doctor who is patient, listens well and has super gentle manor and compassion with kids, this doctor is condescending, impatient and rude. Without telling me nor my daughter she was about to get her earwax, she just poked her. While my daughter was crying hard from the shock and clinging to me, the doctor coldly said "just put her head on the table so I could get to the other ear". And while I was comforting my daughter, she appeared super impatient and annoyed and said "you let me know when you're ready" then left. She made me feel like a loser for comforting my crying baby, and not strong enough to force her down. My daughter was always super cooperative with doctor visit until this day, and it was my mistake to jump at any doctor available. We left without any real diagnose and she is still 102 degree in the 3rd day. We just hope the doc was right, "just one out of hundred virus", and it will go away soon.
Dr. Zivitz has been my kids' pediatrician for years. However, I finally made the decision to look for a new pediatrician, something I should have done sooner. I don't think too much emphasis should be placed on a single review, including mine, detailing a bad experience, which is why I provide the review below that is more objective than identifying my grievances: When I recently took a look at Dr. Zivitz's Yelp reviews, her 5 stars surprised me. When I looked closer, however, I noticed she has had only 2 reviews in or after 2015. Her last review is from 3 years ago. Also, her first review was in 2010, meaning she's averaging about 1 positive review a year. Compare that to reviews for other local pediatricians. You'll find many with much more positive and recent reviews. Further, dissatisfied parents don't write Yelp reviews, they simply go to a different pediatrician. I wish I would have seen a review like this rather than simply rely upon a referral from another parent. It would have prompted me to take more time evaluating Dr. Zivitz and other pediatricians, which could have avoided harm to my children. I want the best pediatrician for my kids, not a pediatrician who is simply liked by a handful of parents. Lesson learned.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
