List of Kim L. Cooper's Reviews
Dr Cooper is such a great doctor and she is very kind. I had something bothering my eye for the past day and so I went to see her and she got it out right away! Turns out it was a piece of metal that had blown into my eye! I definitely recommend Dr Cooper and all of her staff are very nice too. She will care for you and get you what you need.
Doctor Cooper and Nguyen are the best; the absolute best!!! Dr. Cooper is very good with little children (I have a one year old) and is always so encouraging to first time parents. She also goes beyond her duty; my little girl got her finger caught on a door right before her appointment and Dr Cooper took the time to check out her fingers and much to relief of me (was terrified). Where Dr Nguyen check my eyes out and gave me the honest of assessment that I don't need glasses at all where my last optometrist told me I might need to get glasses (when I have perfect 20/20 vision). These two doctors can be trusted and look out for the patient first and foremost. Can't recommend these two doctors enough; if you need a good optometrist come here!!!!!
My daughter was a patient at this office for about two years and the medical care she received was excellent. However, the office organization was unbearable. We experienced various issues:1. Each appointment was typically two hours, primarily waiting2. Hold times on the phone in excess of half an hour 3. Discrepancies in appointment time recorded by the office vs myself4. Optical forgot to order our contacts on one occasion5. Optical gave us the wrong contacts on a different occasion, requiring yet another trip to the office to switch them out again (one hour round trip)6. Typos in every bill that made it impossible to compare their billing to my insurance EOBs. When I inquired, the office acknowledged their mistakes but since the dollar amounts were small, told me it was not a big deal.We decided to leave the practice and just visited our new eye doctor - the medical care is just as good and the office is efficient and pleasant! I wish I had switched sooner and saved myself a lot of time and hassle.
I had a piece of metal in my eye for a few days. it was a Saturday Morning that I went to PAMF is San Carlos. Turned out they couldn't help me due to no opthamologist on duty. They told me to go to emergency at a hospital of my choice. I went home thought about it, made some phone calls came across Dr. Copper's office called Elena Nguyen, MD answered the phone. Elena was able to schedule the same day on Saturday had follow up on Sunday. Elena was very Professional. She explained the process of getting the sliver of metal out of my eye made me feel very comfortable. Getting this done on Saturday and Sunday saved me from taking time off work. Dr. Copper and her team saved thousands of dollars and and day spent at a emergency room. Strongly recommend Dr. Copper and her team. Thanks for the great service Elena!
Best service ever, from the front desk at check in, to the ophthalmic tech, doctors etc. this is the type of company that will make you feel comfortable from the start. Today I was able to get my eyes checked and diagnosed with ease. The optician was able to find a perfect pair of glasses that I liked within 5 mins. The whole staff from beginning to end was super professional and made me feel at home. Thank you Dr. Kim Cooper and staff, highly recommended for all your eye care needs. Ps I don't understand the negative reviews, just a little patience and understanding will go a long way, definitely a place to try. Don't take my word for it, just give them a shot. Their service speaks for themselves
Results are good, but the wait times are consistently and insultingly long.
Arrogant manager. Not respectful of patients time. Jacked up prices for contact lens fitting. Not explicit about contracts. Would definitely NOT recommend!
I would like to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Gisele who works as a receptionist at Dr. Kim Cooper's office. I called in because I was worried about my daughter's peripheral vision, and this young lady went above and beyond to make sure that my daughter was seen. She got in touch with me even when she was off work, and followed up to make sure they worked with our crazy schedules. She was kind, patient, empathic, and really knows how to work with people. She also seemed very knowledgable about vision and next steps. She is amazing, and I truly appreciate people like that. Amazing job, Gisele!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to make sure our needs were met.
Went here for years but with Covid they started charging a ppe fee of 15 dollars on top of your copay. I under stand it's hard for people but to gouge the parents was too much. Especially when no other dr my kids see or we see charges a Covid ppe fee. But just doing the rough math, they are making roughly 2,000 dollars a day just off the ppe fees daily. Or roughly 10000 dollars a week. Shameful! Business practice.
My little girl has been a patient here for over two years, and overall Dr. Cooper has been exceptional with her. However, for the past few months, the doctor has seen my girl's eye conditions worsen, so it makes sense that she asked us to return monthly for her eye checkups. It didn't feel like a money-grab until when we visited last month where we waited for 1.5 hrs and only was seen for 5 minutes and felt like nothing was done. I understand it was toward the end of the day and everyone just wanted to go home, but the scheduling of patients and the amount of care given was very unprofessional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
