List of Houman Vosoghi's Reviews
Excellent Dr., I feel very well taken care of. Personable, kind and honest with a great education and experience.
I have Thyroid Eye and have had doctors from OHSU and Joel Stein Institute all recommend plastic surgery to fix a condition I've had for 5 years now with my right eye being very swollen. In one Visit Dr. Vosoghi reviewed my eye and recommended medicine to reduce the swelling. He is professional, kind and very knowledgeable and I consider him to be one of the best eye doctors I've ever met. Thank you Doctor Vosoghi for everything you have done!
I've been seeing Dr. Vosoghi for several years to treat my glaucoma. He is very expert in this area and I trust him completely. Lately he seems a little more pressed for time but he is always willing to answer questions.
Dr. V. Is kind, caring, and honest. He doesn’t waste time with unnecessary tests or procedures; but rather, gets down to business. If he can’t find the answer, he has no problem referring out. He’s also very picky about to whom he sends his patients. I feel very comfortable and confident with him as my doc.
If I could give this guy zero stars I would! Because he deserves less than that.I had an appointment with Dr Vosoghi yesterday. I was to go to the Dougherty Eye Center in Camarillo office since they are the only ones who had availability. I was scheduled at 3:15pm and the office called me and asked if I could come early. I dropped what I was doing and went there. After putting me in an exam room and placed drops into my eyes and put me on a machine. I asked, "Are you a Doctor?" He said "No, I am his assistant." I told him it was not his job to treat my eyes and put drops in and use the machine. He told me not to worry the doctor would be in. I informed Dr. Vosoghi that his assistant had out drops in my eyes why was he doing it again? He said, "Oh I have to do it anyway." He checked them again after putting drops into my eyes and then put drops in to dilate my eyes and said he would be right back. I waited for 40 minutes before asking the receptionist what was going on. She stated the Dr. was busy and seeing other patients. I waited another 10 minutes in the exam room and I had another appointment and could not afford to wait around any longer and I left. I drove myself not knowing what had been done to my eyes and almost got in a serious car accident. My vision was very blurry, I could not see very well. The Dr. at no time had asked me if I had someone to drive me home to Simi Valley because I would be dilated and unable to drive myself. I had trouble the rest of the night and woke up with a headache the next morning.I told them not to bill me or my insurance but after I left they informed my secretary that they would be charging me for the visit. I called the office immediately but the Dr had already left to another facility. I requested a return call and have yet to receive one.I would inform other that this doctor clearly does not care for his patients.
Dr. Vosoghi saw me in his Westlake Village office. He asked me where my parents were from, and then said that I had nothing to worry about because the condition of my eyes was normal for people with my heritage. At least two other doctors in a different city (I moved for a new job) had recommended continuous monitoring of the eyes - and for at least three years prior to this visit I had been getting my eyes checked. I contacted my previous eye doctor about Vosoghi's diagnosis - he said that heritage would not be a determining factor in my diagnosis. That glaucoma is not a set entity and comes in many variations of appearance, and he recommended continuous monitoring of the eyes. In addition, I was made to wait for a long time in an empty office - this is in comparison to previous visits to other eye doctor offices. Some of the staff was rude, and they had to repeat some of the eye tests twice because they could not find them in their system the first time.
Without a doubt the best opthomoligist you could ever hope to find. Not only a brilliant eye doctor in his field but also one of the most caring people ever. I have been seeing Dr Vosoghi for years and recommend him whole heartedly. He’s that one in a million doctor we all hope to get lucky enough to find.
Dr. Vosoghi is very thorough and saved my sight. He diagnosed me with Narrow Angle glaucoma which previous doctors had missed. This is a potentially blinding disease that is easily treated with a laser as long as it is not missed. I highly recommend him for any eye problem, especially glaucoma. Last time I was there, a lady in the waiting room was saying how he diagnosed her with a rare brain tumor that was missed by her neurologist and ENT doc because he listened when she complained of a whooshing sound in her ear. He's just one of those great clinicians that you find once in a generation.
Very caring and compassionate doctor who spent the time to figure out what is wrong with my eye.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
