Jeffrey Allan's Online Review Report Card

I have been privileged and fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Jeffrey Allan and his associate Dr. Avan Patel for many years. Dr. Allan is currently treating my husband who suffers from Parkinson's Disease. He is very caring and knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions we may have. Dr. Allan always returns our calls and is so patient whenever a concern comes up. He has always treated us with the utmost respect. He has always made sure that all our health concerns are addressed so that we have a thorough understanding of our discussions together. My husband is now bedridden and is unable to physically get to Dr. Allan's office so he takes the time to make a house call each month to check on him. (He has also made very good friends with our dog, Meadow). My husband and I are both so grateful and thankful to be under the care of Dr. Allan, and Dr. Patel as well. I would recommend Dr. Allan and all his staff to anyone who is interested in quality, compassionate and professional care.

Dr. Allan is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable doctor who was so helpful in the past when my mother was at the end of her life, and continues his practice in  the same way now.  He will call you at the end of his day, if you have a question that needs attention, and his office is run very well. 30 min. is the most time I've had to wait, over the more than 15 yrs. I've been his patient.  I recommend Dr. Allan highly!

Dr. Allan is a very nice guy. He is calm and resourceful. He also has the slowest office in the world.  I am never there less than two hours for an appointment; 75 minutes (at a minimum) spent waiting and 10-15 minutes spent with the doctor. Again, he is super nice, so are the people in the office. It is hard for me to imagine it taking any longer anywhere, ever. It is the unfortunate truth.

I called and left messages for more than 3 weeks, to get Dr. Allan to go see my loved one at a nursing facility. He promised that he would go see the patient 'as soon as I can'. I was finally told that Dr. Allan did not want to take on this case. Why couldn't you have told me weeks before??

Dr. Allan refused to take a helpless patient that he had promised to visit at a board and care. A refusal to treat would have been acceptable. However, after 30 calls to the office over a three week period with many messages given to him, I was finally told by his assistant that Dr. Allan was not going to accept the patient. Heartless and uncaring!

After promising to visit my loved one at a 'board and care' facility to take over his care (he was discharged from hospice), Dr. Allan refused to fulfill his commitment.  I was kept waiting for a month, no return phone calls, no response from office staff - "we'll give him the message".  Meanwhile meds were 'runnning out' and the equipment company was calling to pick up the hospice items.I am very disappointed and unhappy with Dr. Allan's uncaring, heartless attitude towards a helpless patient.  I could have accepted a refusal to accept the case, but to be kept 'dangling with hope' is so unacceptable! Tear up your Hippocratic Oath, Dr. Allan!  You are not upholding it!

Also he sends me for testing right away when I need it and sends me to great specialists who say good things about him as a doctor. The staff is always helpful and they get me in to see Dr. Allan when I need him same day urgently for uncomfortable problems or pain. The office is clean and welcoming. I get a good feeling going to Dr. Allan's office.

Dr. Jeffrey Allan is very caring and knowledgeable. I am glad he got his MD from UCLA. He is very respected by my specialist doctors. He has treated me for many years. The staff is friendly and helpful to get same-day urgent care appointments. The office is clean and pleasant and I feel very comforted when I leave the office.
