I just had my second Polestar astrology reading with Michael. I had my last one 12 years ago. It was amazing to see how much had happened that the first reading predicted would happen! It really gave me even more faith in this ancient and profound system. I am able to understand myself more deeply and can navigate my next steps in life with more ease since this most recent reading. I also really love the fact that Michael is also a highly skilled acupuncturist and could guide me in a deeper way when it came to the health aspect of my chart and really the whole thing. His kind heart, vast knowledge, and humble curiosity are an awesome combination. I highly recommend him!

I have been fortunate to meet Shanti in one of the darkest times of my life. I have been suffering of chronic back pain and couldn't find any concrete relief. Shanti supported me as nobody did before. She used her knowledge, passion, grace and dedication and she treated me with acupuncture and cranio-sacral massage and week after week she helped me suffering less and less. Her holistic approach is key. She didn't stop to the 'pain', she went above and beyond. I've been on a long journey that started with Western medicine and dealing with autoimmune disease. Specifically Graves' disease. Through all of this, not one of my doctors could tell me anything about the root causes or triggers of my auto immune disease. Just that Research shows that there is a link to stress as well as a hereditary About three months ago, I started seeing Michael Eugene Brownand Shanti Ma at Abundant Heaven Integrative Acupuncture, I received an acupuncture treatment and Craniosacral therapy treatment from Shanti Ma. Through talking with her and the treatment I feel like I gained a better understanding of how I hold stress in my body. While receiving the treatment I had a memory of my father from childhood and a way that he held his body when he was concentrating that my sister and I used to laugh about. I realized, in that moment that I had the exact same stress holding patterns as my father. I think that after this treatment I have had better access to noticing when these neuro pathways are activated and being able to "hit the reset button " which usually involves slowing down and taking some deep breaths. Shanti has an online class called vagas nerve deep dive that I have started that is amazing so far. This class includes exercises that give you access to the parasympathetic nervous system. Michael prescribed some Chinese herbs. after a month of taking them my bloodwork is finally revealing signs of remission allowing me to wean off of other medication. The correlation between starting the the treatments with Michael and Shanti Ma and the drastic improvement in my bloodwork as well as improvement in double vision and eye pain are amazing. modern medicine, does not seem to have a clear understanding of the root causes of auto immune diseases. It’s hard to know for sure what exactly was the final culprit of healing… what is this the normal disease process? Was it the meditation and mind-body awareness? Elimination of certain foods? Or was it the Acupuncture Craniosacral therapy and herbs?  there’s no way to measure for sure, but the correlation between starting the the treatments with Michael and Shanti Ma and the drastic improvement in my bloodwork as well as improvement in double vision and eye pain tell me it was most likely that the herbs had a huge effect.  modern medicine, does not seem to have a clear understanding of the root causes of auto immune diseases. Shanti truly cares about your healing journey. I have worked with her for over a year and she has helped me tremendously! She helps me manage several awful symptoms caused by multiple sclerosis. Before walking into the doors of Abundant Heaven I had what I would describe as chronic lower back pain. This included spasms going down to my feet and difficulty doing certain movements. Originally, I was nervous to get acupuncture, but the staff made me feel extremely comfortable during my first appointment. They started out with a message to relax my muscles and then they began with the needles to hit critical points. After the appointment I felt extremely relaxed and my performance as an athlete has improved extremely. I have been going back ever since.

I have been working with Abundant Heaven Integrative Acupuncture for over 6 years. During this time, Shanti and Michael have helped me with various challenges: Allergies, Peri-Menopause symptoms, Gastro-Intestinal issues, as well as back and neck pain. Their thoroughness and multimodality approach have been most effective in improving my functionality and health. Almost 3 years ago I could only walk a few houses down the street and couldn't stand more than 10 minutes, with the help of acupuncture, herbs, electrical stimulation and craniosacral work, I have been able to avoid more invasive medical procedures and medication and have better functionality, I'm able to walk for 2+ miles now. Some of my favorite things about working with Shanti, is that she takes the time to explain what she finds and recommends all the while taking in account my life and what is practical and reasonable to employ.
