List of Douglas Robinson's Reviews
Dr Robinson and his office was 5/5 +++++Very professional, knowledgeable, fast, and efficient!
Dr. Robinson is a great podiatrist as well as a nice guy (including the rest of the staff). I hadn’t been there in about 4 years and went before Xmas as I had a rash on my ankle.I had already been to a dermatologist (don’t go to Mark Miller!), my primary care and now here. He took so much time trying to figure out why it was only around my ankles. No diagnosis but to use what my primary prescribed. It was a great visit. To sum up this long review, go see Dr. Robinson and take a look at Jai’s nails.
Dr Robinson is a very nice person, but as a podiatrist, he missed a diagnosis that was obvious on my X-ray and picked up by the second doctor. Dr Robinson took X-rays, reviewed them, and said my feet were fine. He suggested a cortisone shot to relieve the pain I was feeling. He said there was inflammation that was causing the pain and the cortisone shot would give me relief. He couldn't tell me why there was inflammation. He also was prepared to give me the shot during the same office visit without informing me of the need to stay off my feet for several days, which would not have worked with my scheduled activities. The suggested treatment seemed rushed, not well discussed or planned. I decided to get a 2nd opinion from a different podiatrist as I didn't understand the cause of the inflammation. He took another set of X-rays and this doctor showed me the structure of my foot, and why I was getting the inflammation and pain. A treatment was suggested, discussed and planned. Now 2 months later, I can walk without pain. This is what Dr Robinson should have done. He is a nice person but my mobility is too important to continue going to see Dr Robinson.
Dr Robinson is a great podiatrist as well as a nice guy (including the rest of the staff). I hadn't been there for about 4 years and went last week as I had a rash on my ankle. I had already seen a dermatologist (don't go to Mark Miller), my primary care and now here. He took so much time trying to figure out why it was only around the ankle. No diagnosis but to use what my primary care prescribed. It was a great visit. Later at home I was trying to figure out why just around my ankles and my dog came to mind. She's the right height and probably got something on her coat that passed to me.To sum this long story up, go see Dr. Robinson and take a look at Jai'snails!
I am so impressed with Dr Robinson and his entire staff. I went in after the ER Dr referred me when I broke my toe over the weekend. The care that Dr Robinson and his entire staff provide is above and beyond. Ive never had such incredible care. Thank you so much Dr Robinson and team
I dont really have a good impression from this office. I called them first to schedule coz I have an ingrown problem I wanted to take care of and the reviews seemed great so they were my first choice even if they were far. I called them on a Wednesday, made sure they're open but they weren't picking up. Not sure if they're busy or whatnot but I did leave a message. They called me back Friday morning and I missed it coz I got busy at work but they didn't even leave any message lol so... I was like ok.. 1st you didn't pick up, 2nd you don't even leave a message. Guess you're too busy so just went to schedule with someone else that picked up.
In addition to being a great podiatrist, Dr. Robinson has amazing front office staff. Everyone there is super warm and caring. When you have a foot or ankle issue and can't walk, you can't wait a week to be seen. Other podiatrists often have this long lead time for appointments. Dr. Robinson's front office team have been wonderful of scheduling an appointment within 36 hours of calling. It''s very helpful they can do x-rays onsite. The two times I visited, I left the office with everything I needed for my recovery.
Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with Dr. Robinson. I do think he tried his best to help me, but felt pressured into treatments each time I went to his office and even bought custom orthotics with no impact to the pain in my ankle/foot area. He told me that they needed to try "everything else" before ordering an MRI as it would be costly (checked with my insurance, it isn't). I recently went to another doctor and he immediately took a look at my x-rays and suggested an MRI as I have had foot pain for over two years and mentioned if I have had persistent ankle/foot pain even over 3 months, that an MRI should have been ordered to rule out ligament damage.
My Mom & I have been patients for several years. The main reason I went to him was to help me trim my nails. He used to do a good job but lately it has been very, very bad! He gets you in and out, works fast when he cuts and has made my nails bleed the last few visits! I ask him to cut my nails shorter, ignores me and he took a wedge out of one of my big toes that made my foot hurt for several days! When he works on my Mom he has also made her nails/toes bleed as well! I feel like I am on an assembly line -- fast in, fast out and who cares what the patients asks and/or feels. My Mom told me that she will return to his care but I'm done with his cavalier attitude and will see out someone else..NOT GOING BACK OR SUGGESTING HIM TO OTHERS!
Let me just start by saying Dr. Robinson is amazing. I called late on a Friday evening and was able to secure an early appointment the following Tuesday. I had been in agonizing pain for about five weeks and was unsure of how to treat my injury after being wrongly diagnosed at the ER. Dr Robinson was very thorough in understanding my injury and clinically diagnosing it through a series of tests. What was amazing was that he had his own x-ray and ultrasound machines in office which save me a ton of time and walking (limping). All the way from the front desk staff (thank you Jai!!) to how they handled intake and his professionalism, expertise, and friendliness really makes Dr. Robinsons practice one of the best in the Bay Area! Super friendly, courteous, and kind!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
