List of Jay Lin's Reviews
Amazing Doctor. The kind of doctor that you find and keep forever. Caring, knowledgeable, friendly and usually has appointments available within the next week.
Dr. Lin has been my doctor for 30 years & only if he retires would I change doctors. He has seen me thru some serious illnesses; referred me to best specialists; spends time while we interview my problem & generally has a very educated "on top of it" point of view at all times ...something rare in today's medical community. I trust & respect him fully.
This doctor does not seem to care about his patients, called on Friday after Thanksgiving and the office was closed, the call was transferred to the doctor on call which was him, asked if they were open and said until Monday and hung up on me, called him back again and did not answer, left a voice message telling him that I was very sick with bronchitis and needed antibiotics and an inhaler because I had a hard time to breath. He never called or prescribed any medication at all, this is very irresponsible coming from your doctor.
Dr Lin is a great doctor! He's very knowledgeable, patient, and caring. He always takes lot of time explaining everything. He's the doctor I've trusted the most of every doctor I've had throughout my life. I'm always able to get same-day appointments and never have to wait long in the waiting room. I highly recommend Dr Lin!
Stay away, save your condition, save your money!!!I had a proper fall to grace moment here, won't even recommend this doctor to an enemy ...While trekking, i had a minor sprain on my right thumb and I visited him. The initial impression of everything was good. The typical all smile staff, massage parlor music running in the background and my number came quickly (only later I realized why). I visited in between my work hours so i was in a hurry and even though I told them, staff was still pushing me to get my weight, height, blood pressure, temperature, etc done. I recently did all of these and I told them the numbers but no, they were still pushy. After some time of going from one machine to another, i was finally let go to the doctor's combat room. He looked like a decent old guy and for next 10 minutes kept on asking me about any current or past condition i had, any condition whatsoever. After this, he saw my thumb for less than a minute and prescribed some medicines from the pharmacy below. As I was leaving the place, for some weird reasons he said "after getting the medicines, please bring them up once to show to me, the pharmacy guys can goof up attimes". I was like yeah, ok.The pharmacy below also took a century to get me the drugs and then I went up back to the dr. He just saw, smiled, looked at his watch and said " i might have some free stuffs which might help you too". Went to his locker and gave me a couple of sample sachets of gel for application. He was like these are so costly but thank God I had these in sample, you'll get alright very quickly. This this point, this doctor was GOD to me, till a couple of days later when my claim bill arrived. Doctor charged me for full body checkup of 45+ minutes. Yes, you are right, i got charged for those stupid height measuring as full body checkup and for the time from the moment i stepped in till the returned from pharmacy. The sample liquid sachet as I googled turned out to be of arthritis. Yes, you heard it right, i was given a ointment gel of bone joint disease arthritis for a simple thumb sprain, no wonder the price of that gel was high in market. This entire episode angered me so much and I called their office to tell them about these issues. No help provided and I was being told that everything was charged as per the norm. I involved my health carrier company, who called them, got the same response and simply passed it to me. No steps or cross questioning, wow. I raised an official complaint at my health carrier, same thing. No steps taken and I was asked to simply pay whatever the dr asked ... no wonder the health care industry is so screwed up for a common man ...Dr billed me fraudulent amount for the services I didn't even ask for in the first place, wasted my time to and fro the pharmacy shop and gave me wrong medicines/ointments. My poor right thumb only got healed naturally after 4-5 months.
Stay the hell away from this doctor!!!! I came in to see him because I had a sore throat. He prescribed me some medicine and made matters worse. I called him to express my concerns and current situation. He was very impatient and condescending! He kept telling me to go back to work.He doesn't conduct a thorough diagnostic of my situation the first and then I had to go back and get checked again. Paying ANOTHER co-pay! He swabs my throat to get it tested and never got back to me about my results! I would give me zero stars if I could!!!!
Dr Lin is exceptional! He's very patient and explains everything. He also has a great personality and sense of humor.
Dr. Lin takes a personal interest in his patients. Such a nice doctor, and his staff are very sweet. Always easy to get an appt too....sometimes the same day or at the most 2 days. I highly recommend him. He only takes cash or check too, no credit cards.
Dr. Lin is, in my experience of numerous HMO primary care physicians (PCP), the ONLY HMO PCP who is an all around great physician. Actually, he is beyond a great physician, he's a great person. He is that rare combination of a caring physician, who listens to the patient, treats the patient as an individual and has great knowledge. I cannot recommend him enough. I would recommend him to anyone, whether they are in an HMO or not, and I can't say that of others. He really is wonderful.
This is the best primary care physician, of many in my HMO, that I have ever felt was a first class doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an outstanding physician who is also a nice person that truly listens to his patients and cares about them. He knows how to practice the art of medicine in that he looks at the person as an individual and doesn't offer cookie cutter treatments. His office staff is also very nice and friendly. The wait time is minimal even though he spends as much time as needed with the patient. I highly recommend Dr. Lin.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
