Great doctor to go to. He is kind and his MA Alex gets back to me back on time, with specifics of which laboratory and x-ray's to go.

My wife has Progressive Interstitial Lung Disease, and she has been a patient of Dr. Soong for about one year. He may be a competent pulmonary medicine specialist; but he is very poor at communicating and following up to insure that his staff is doing what needs to be done quickly and efficiently with attention to details. He has said he "leaves things to his staff once they are told what to do" - when phone calls are not returned, which is frequently, he blames the patient for not being specific enough about wanting a call back. He makes excuses for the lack of detail in his practice by saying he has a lot of patients and a lot to do and cannot be expected to handle those details. Prescriptions go to the wrong pharmacy, he makes decisions without really listening to the patient, and does not keep the patient in the loop about just what he is doing. Our experience in this case has been abysmal.
