List of Bahar Rahnamayi's Reviews
Great urgent care experience overall. Was in from out-of-town and able to book an appointment on the same morning. The wait was minimal and I was done in around 35 minutes. Katherine Drilling, PA was super nice and willing to spend more time if necessary.
Very pleasant visit with very knowledgeable and professional attention.
We just moved here from Phoenix and found the Peralman Clinic though our CA Blue/Cross preferred doctors list. This is a really nice office with excellent staff and many doctors to choose from. I highly recommend them! 👍
Yes, I have a great visit ;-)) today I like my doctor.
Great staff and very nice experience, highly recommended.
Great and caring staff of professional health care providers!
Really like both Dr Kuperman(my main Dr) and Dr Ramayani(who did a pre op exam for me) and their staff! They are both professional, knowledgeable and kind/genuine. Their staff is friendly and helpful!
PA Chelsea Ellinson did an outstanding job treating my injured finger and rebandaging my wound. All staff were courteous and highly competent.
BE CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE : When I moved to Carlsbad from San Francisco two years ago in December 2021, the first thing I tackled was making sure my insurance knew about my address change and to switch primary care physicians to someone within my new network. I was referred to Perlman Clinic by Cindy Tsai herself but I decided to give One Medical a try due to better reviews. Attached you can see when Cindy referred me to Perlman Clinic back in March 2021. I called Healthnet and requested a PCP change from John Awad to Monica Perlman. The PCP change was confirmed by my insurance on the phone and effective immediately in August 2022 and received two copies of my new updated insurance card with Perlman Clinic on it. November 2, I came into the office to see Doctor Bahar Rahnamayi because I had been experiencing numbness, tingling, sharp and shooting pains, memory issues, and other symptoms. These symptoms started getting progressively worse so I needed her help to figure out what was going on and how to fix it. She said it might be MS but is casual about it. As you can see in the message above, my insurance is not listed correctly as Perlman Clinic but rather as Kendall Cannon. Because of this, I had to pay out of pocket about $600 for the MRI ordered by Dr. Rahnamayi. I was denied financial assistance thanks to this irresponsible mistake Health Net made without my knowledge during an important time. On the night of Monday November 15, 2022 I had what seemed to be a seizure and was out of consciousness for almost 30 minutes. I had experienced intense chest tightness, difficulty breathing, dizziness, difficulty speaking and standing, limb stiffness, and felt mentally disconnected. Attached you can see the message Nerissa sent to Dr. Rah during the time of my episode. After calling 911 and awaiting their arrival, Nerissa scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Rah for November 17 at 8:40 AM. Attached you can see the confirmation for this appointment. On the evening of November 16, 2022 at 5:20 PM Diane Solic, a medical assistant, scheduled a telephone call appointment to follow up and talk about what happened during my episode. Diane said this was serious and agreed to have Dr. Rah order more blood tests checking for lupus and thyroid cancer. I also said that I would talk to Dr. Rah more about my episode in detail when I see her the next day on November 17 at 8:40 AM. The morning of November 17 at 8:40 AM I arrived promptly on time at the Perlman Clinic located in Carlsbad. I was denied help because the front desk said I never had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Rah and that she was already seeing someone else. Why did my appointment get canceled and who took my appointment spot? When did my appointment get canceled? Why didn’t anyone tell me? I asked the front desk for blood tests and another MRI to be ordered, only again to be denied because she said my insurance is out of network. She said my insurance is with Kendall Cannon and that my address has not been updated - that it’s still with my San Francisco outdated address. Attached you can see that I had reached out to Dr. Rah about this and never received a response. I took the same day to sit down and call up Health Net yet again to get this sorted out. My address should have been changed over two years ago. My PCP should have been assigned to Monica Perlman, as seen on my insurance card, not Kendall Cannon (whom I did NOT authorize). It’s been on record, according to the person on the phone, that I had attempted to make this change 5-6 times and Health Net still has not made the change despite them telling me and confirming that they changed my address and PCP. It was not until after I had my episode and almost lost my life, that I had Perlman Clinic send out a referral when this was requested back on November 2, 2022, in order to get further help on my current health issue. After my episode and going to the ER, the doctors said I need to go back to my primary care doctor, Monica Perlman.Monday November 21, I still have not received any message.
Another great and thorough visit with my favorite doc, Chelsea. She’s so good at addressing my health issues and remedies for whatever i’ve come down with recently. You’re lucky to have her on your staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
