Horrible Horrible…Did I say horrible? I had a Teledoc visit with him via video and phone. He was rude and abrupt. He asked me if my naps were relieving my headaches and I told him I don’t take naps. He then stated are you calling me a liar, your chart says you do. He then said my test came back negative and hung up on me. What the heck!!! Completely unprofessional. And their office never even contacted me even 30 days after my tests were completed. I had to reach out to them.
Helped my migraines tremendously! He is professional and does take the time to answer any questions you have about anything.
Where do I start...totally incompetent! My husband was injured with the brain bleed in the hospital for 30+ days. We were assigned to Dr. Chaudhry as his neurologist. My husband surgeon in the hospital let us know he has an aneurysm that needs to be treated immediately. We thought once he was out of the hospital we would get it treated immediately. Wrong! Dr Chaudhry made a huge mistake in my husband‘s paperwork and put that the aneurysm was routine. Not immediate attention. I had to call his office multiple times to find out why it wasn’t being taken care of and why we had to wait and wait and wait and wait weeks before his aneurysm could be taken care of! Even with all those phone calls nothing changed. My husband started having extreme headaches. Which scared the hell out of me. So I took him to Scripps emergency. And the aneurysm was taken care of immediately by a competent surgeon. I would never recommend Dr. Chaudhry!!!! Unless you want someone that is incompetent and will put your loved one in harms way, danger. And again he never change the paperwork even after the multiple times I called to let them know that it was not routine we were told that needed immediate attention or the aneurysm could explode and kill him! Find another neurologist! This is just one issue we had with him. We had multiple issues with him after this. We also went to get my husband‘s DMV paperwork taken care of. We were told at the Encinitas Scripps rehab center we had to go to La Jolla to his office and pay $35 in order for him to fill out the paperwork and send it to the DMV. But guess what Dr. Chaudhry messed that up to!!! He sent the paperwork back to the rehab center at Scripps Encinitas. Not to the DMV that we paid the $35 for him to send it to. Totally incompetent! I don’t know what or why he is still a doctor. During that time he took multiple vacations and was hardly ever in the office to speak to. And this is all during Covid.
AVOID TBIS DOCTOR AT ALL COST!! I repeat AVOID THIS DOCTOR!! My mother sees this doctor and he insisted on changing her medications for her epilepsy that was working for her to a different medications where she is now having seizures frequently. He will not prescribe the previous medication to her that was working before HE changed the medication. My mother has fallen in the street numerous of times, and is constantly having seizures. He does not care about his patients what so ever. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PHYSICAN TO ANYONE!!! I had to give him 1 star, I would prefer none!!
Excellent Doctor who takes the time to explain everything.
agree with the rest; not a good Doctor. He may know the science but is bad with people. The time was pretty useless and he seemed confused by the fact that I wanted to get results. He had a purely random shotgun approach but when I questioned if it would be effective, he kinda shrugged like "whatever, don't do anything then".
I left my appointment feeling suicidal. He dismissed all of my concerns. Told me I was just fine because I’m young despite my tbi and multiple concussions. Told me I should work but cannot drive. Took my license but would not put me on disability.
Let me preface: He’s very smart and competent. Dr. Choudry is nice as well. He’s just a fast talker who gets excited talking about his own doctor stuff like conferences and can get carried away. I’m lucky I’m a scientist so I understand his science talk. He can ask very blunt questions so I was a bit taken aback once when he asked me a question about a personal life issue that can affect my symptoms that I wasn’t expecting. (This question is a valid one, he’s not being inappropriate by asking it, it’s how). And he was blunt and direct when he asked it and I felt embarrassed and put on the spot. The office struggles to do anything on time so I feel like his fast talking combined with office issues makes me feel like I’m being shoved out. He’s a great source of information but is jittery when explaining it. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like I’m either exciting him to wear he will wiggle his legs while standing or I’m irritating him and he wants to leave. I don’t want to discredit his work because he is knowledgeable and honest. Dr. Choudry can be knowledgeable to a fault to where if you bring something up that is odd to you, let’s say like losing some vision or language problems occasionally, he might say “yeah that’s normal” but not explain why. You will be glad it’s normal but still want an explanation as to why it’s a benign issue. I just wish he’d work on taking a breath, softening up, explaining things and not just brushing them off if they don’t concern him, and working with his coworkers for better organization. I do understand that medical offices are businesses and sometimes they push for doctors to see many patients a day. I just wish that everyone was better organized and it wasn’t chaos and Dr. Choudry could relax more. He will sometimes get up and say “Okay I gotta go bye” and just...leave... I know it sounds like I bashed him but I’m just being honest. If you have seizures or wonder if you do, he’s a great seizure specialist and overall neurologist. I do recommend him. He knows a lot about research and what is going on in breakthrough treatments.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Choudry for close to two years. He’s extremely clear with regard to communication, has a broad-spectrum knowledge base, is compassionate, and very clearly has the patient’s best interests at heart.
Dr. Choudry is an amazing physician. Highly professional and personable as well as caring. I have suffered severe migraine for 50 years and he carefully examined me, went over my medical history and treatments and suggested a new course of medication that might be effective. Not only was he right on point, but with the new medication I have been migraine free for several weeks. And he and his office worked with my insurance company to have the new medication approved as well. Outstanding!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
