Many years ago I had Dr. Chen replace my eyes lenses with crystal lenses due to cataract problems. I'm now 81 and was super pleased at how well it has worked for me after all these years. My latest eye test revealed near 20/20 vision. On Dr. Chen's recommendation I had one eye fixed for distance, and one for close up. I never had any problem adapting to the variation and would certainly recommend the procedure to anyone with a cataract problem. Well done Dr. Chen.

For over a year I have asked the doctor to deal with my double vision. He keeps finding reasons to put me off from full cataract surgery to eye exams to pressure readings to check peripheral vision etc. etc.

Dr. Chen is wonderful! After 15+ years in contacts and glasses, I decided to get LASIK this summer, and Dr. Chen was the BEST doctor for the procedure. His resume, knowledge, and level of professionalism are commendable. The procedure itself is painless, and Dr. Chen talked me through each step so that I felt comfortable and at ease. The recovery was quicker than I expected, and I am still in awe of how great my vision is just a few weeks post-op -- amazing! Thank you Dr. Chen and North County Laser Eye Associates!

Dr. Chen removed both of my cataracts over a period of time and replaced them with wonderful specialty lenses! Now I have permanent mono vision — which gives me perfect distance vision and excellent up close vision. Now it’s no problem to read labels on things at stores or read the small messages on my phone without having to fumble for reading glasses. Dr. Chen and his staff answered all of my questions and the follow up is wonderful. It is so great not having to wear glasses to drive — even at night! No glare, no glasses — no problem at all! If you’re looking for a professional, precise Ophthalmologist, call Dr. Paul Chen and get rid of your cataracts and your glasses!

Dr. Chen and their very personal staff especially Michael have been awesome. I highly recommend there clean and professional office conveniently located in the Carlsbad Forum. My long distance eyesight is now 20/20 and fantastic for surfing, hiking, and sporting events!
