Thanks to Dr. Paul Chen, performing catarac surgery, for the first time in 60 years I don't need glasses or contact lens and the world is so bright, at first I could not believe my eyes. Dr. Chen and the entire staff at North County Laser Eye Associates provide a caring supportive service. I highly recommend them for all eye care needs.

Dr. Chen is very friendly and thorough. He went the extra mile with my insurance company to get some items covered.

This is what I believe happened to me while I was at this office. I tried on a pair of glass frames and the plastic tag cut my eye and caused a bruise, cut the tip of my cornea and a bleed.. I needed to see a medical doctor for the injury..

Dr Chen and his staff were very helpful, caring and informative. We just moved from the area and was looking for a new Optometrist and was lucky enough to find Dr Chen. I definitely recommend him.

Have been going to Dr. Oliver Chen/ optometrist for about 7 years for eye exams, contact lens fittings and eyeglass prescriptions, And also see Dr Paul Chen/opthamolologist and surgeon for my other eye condition which is extreme dry eye. Was hesitant to go to this office initially because it's located in the upscale Forum shopping mall. Wound up being pleasantly surprised, though, by how friendly, honest and down-to-earth the entire office is.  The staff is truly among the best beginning with the receptionists. And, since the practice does not close down during lunch, it makes it extra easy to maKe appts and to call and have questions answered promptly. Wish more doctors' offices would adapt this mode of operation because it makes everything so much more do-able for me as a patient. An added bonus is that the office is also open on Saturday.My experience with Dr Oliver Chen Is that he is a pleasure to deal with. He's patient, kind, highly knowledgeable and he trains his staff to be the same. When I first got contacts, to be honest, I was probably the worst patient ever. It took one of Dr Chen's staff over an hour to get me to learn how to put contacts in but they were great about it.  Since then, there have been a few times that I've gotten contacts stuck in my eyes for a few days and needed help. Any time I've called to finally make an appt for emergency help, Dr Chen finds a way to see me as soon as possible. I've never felt rushed and receive as much help as I need. Dr Chen is very professional and thorough In terms of providing the best help when I need it.And, finally, another gem in the office is Robert, who is an expert optician. Over the years, he's spent a generous amount of time helping me to make the best eyeglass choices for my eye condition which is an astigmatism. Robert has also been accomodating in terms of make the best repairs on my glasses. He is extremely knowledgeable, reliable and helpful.Couldn't be more pleased with Dr Oliver Chen, Dr Paul Chen and the entire staff associated with this practice. Can't recommend highly enough. Continue to exceed my expectations over the course of many years and I highly recommend them all!
