Dr Chakravarthy is one of the most dedicated, friendly, knowledgeable, available, and caring doctors I have ever partnered with as a patient. I suffer from a rare disease called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and Dr C and the entire UCSD team that has supported me for all these years are some of the best doctors on the planet. If you are looking for a physician with advanced skills as well as the ability to connect with you on a personal level, I highly recommend reaching out to UCSD Pain clinic and requesting Dr Chakravarthy.

Staff was nice, but Dr. Chakravarthy wasn’t interested in my almost 25 year battle with chronic pain stemming from 3 crushed vertebrae that never healed properly. He took weeks to respond to mychart messages, would not except phone call messages and recommended old treatments that did not work for me in the past. Spinal Cord Stimulator was the only option I was given and I was deemed not a good candidate by pain psychologist, so was left to literally writhe in pain for months and months before landing in the hospital with depression/stress related medical problems. I had to find a pain management team elsewhere. Unbelievable! The worse PM experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend UCSD pain management team if my life depended on it.
