List of MIchael Delaney's Reviews
Our experience with the doctors have always been fine, but the staff is very rude. They are always seeking money. They threatened to cancel my husband's follow up, after a stroke, appointment if we didn't pay his balance that was due. They refused to discuss payment options with him. The first time the front desk said they would not see us unless we paid 90% of the balance. This was in October and we had just gotten the bill, with a due date of November 7th. No one should ever feel this way about a visit to a doctor. They should really reconsider some of their staff choices. Maybe consider more training. Or get rid of some of the people.
I have been a patient for many years now. At this moment I have waited on hold for 34 minutes to ask where my Emgality prescription was called in. I tried leaving a message to have the office call back, but the line says goodbye and hangs up at the end. Does not let you leave a message.I wish this were unusual. This is a fine group of doctors and a wonderful, convenient facility. However, if there is the smallest complication that requires a phone call, the process is entirely unacceptable. When I am able to get to the machine, the recording tells me to leave a message that will be returned in 24-48 hours. That alone is an unreasonable wait at a medical office. But it goes on to say that if the call is not returned, call a supervisor. That is very low bar for staff performance. Why is it expected enough that the call won’t be returned that an escalation path is provided for the patient? I have never had a call returned I left on that line.I have discussed the difficulty with several doctors during visits. Everyone sort of shrugs and says they get that all the time.Last visit was particularly challenging. I arrived and waited in a line 4 people deep. I got to the front and was thanked for my patience. After the regular insurance questions, dob, etc, the person mentioned she would have to call to see if they would still take me. I asked why and was told it was because my appt was at 11:45. It was a couple minutes before 12. I asked what the window was as she said 8 minutes.I was on time for my appointment. I waited in line as the 8 minute grace period ended. This is after a stunningly disrespectful time I spent on hold to get an appointment. I then waited for an entire hour to see the doctor. The patients time is not respected. The public reviews of the Neurology Center are unflattering and well earned.Allow me to restate that the doctors are wonderful. The office and parking are perfect. The administration is abysmal.I have now waited for one hour and fifteen minutes.I can’t do this anymore and will be trying a new neurologist.
Do they ever answer the phone? Recording just tells you to go to website but the website is terrible and you have to upload your insurance cards with no security at all. After reading some other reviews it seems it may be for the best. They don't want any new patients.
Waited 6-weeks for an appointment--was then referred for a spinal tap. Waited another month. After the procedure, I waited an additional two-weeks for a review/status update--nothing. I called and eventually spoke with an assistant told me they finally received my results and all was normal...and Dr. Delaney would discuss at my next appointment. ??? I had no next appointment scheduled--was told I would need to schedule one....another 6-week wait--NO THANKS! Very disappointed in the lack of follow-up and the whole process was seemed disconnected. Living in Temecula, saw him (this time) in Temecula, had to go to Carlsbad for the spinal tap....then personally deliver the extracted fluid to the Palamar Medical Center in Escondido... and was misdirected to three different offices) ??? POOR PLANNING, POOR PROCESS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY POOR FOLLOW-UP. Nope...not a happy camper. ~ E. Sam Parker
This place is a circus. You’ll have to wait for your doctor possibly for hours after your scheduled time, or they’ll cancel your appointment without telling you why and when you ask why, they won’t know. The billing department sucks too! Good luck dealing with them. Trust me, don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else
23 days inpatient recent with 3 feet of old banged up plate on head and hardware left me in some pretty relentless occipital cervio thoracic pain when suddenly one day weeks in Dr. Mehta took time from his day and met me in my room and did a 16 shot procedure not missing one spasm. He even injects over my eyes where a previous halo left infected scar tissue. Dr. Mehta is so good and confident with injection depth and any requests. 2 other hospitalizations he did same. Very kind bedside manner. Dr. Schimm does botox procedures for headaches and stubborn muscle spasms i get in my large trapz from years in gym and work in Las Vegas casino building. For sleep studies, Dr. Mehtas wife is excellent troubleshooting sleep issues. The Neurology Center paid a lot for me to say this. Lol jk this place ive gone for years and they are phenomenal.
Sabrina the MA is amazing and helped me with something very important and she did it very quickly!!
I called someone to set up a neurology appointment. They said they'd call me back and never did. I don't even think the guy made a note of it, he just hung up and left. He was very rude because I did not have an insurance card. I am a military dependent. I was also told by my nurse at my primary care hospital to direct any insurance questions to her, which I did. Now it has been weeks and still no call. So I will be calling back today. I hope I don't get that guy on the line again though, that was a -1/10 experience. Even my family was shocked at his attitude.Update: I was contacted by someone much kinder. She helped me set up an appointment with the appropriate doctor and put me on the waitlist for cancellations. The issues I was having seem to be a result of poor phone connectivity, and simply that one guy that picked up my call a few weeks ago. Please note, I do not have any clue who I spoke to in either phone call, and my experience during this time is also likely a result of COVID-19 causing high call volumes. I understand that everyone has bad days, however treating patients poorly over the phone is never acceptable.
On hold twice for 25 minutes and then no answer.
Dr. Lawler when I spoke to her was proactive in helping with my debilitating migranes and booking a further MRI. She referred me to Dr. Pham who was also very helpful. However I was called by an apologetic assistant who said she was not in my insurance network and rebooked me two weeks out. She said someone would call me about my MRI results and I was told that my Brain Damage at 30 years old was not serious enough to be seen. When looking online for sooner appointments I saw ample openings with other doctors. I will keep my appointment with the Nurse Assistant, but I do not appreciate the staffs treatment, especially when there are openings sooner, which I did ask if there were any closer to when my original appointment was. Being lied to by staff is not a good look for the office. I hope come time my next appointment I can at least get the information I need to move forward with my life and address my very serious, life altering health concern appropriately.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
