I just tried calling the office to make an eye appointment and the front desk girl was not accommodating at all. She told me to get a sitter for my breastfeeding baby and essentially they can't treat me because I am breastfeeding. WTH?

The most incompetent, rude, money hungry, uncontrollable person. He should be given minus 5 stars. He yells, shouts, and constantly insults the patient. He creates symptoms even if not written in a complaint. If a patient is afraid of infection after recent surgery and has no dry eyes symptoms he should not forcibly inject collagen with unsanitized tweezers in the puncta of the eyes. Patient had denied collagen treatment, after yelling and intimidating the patient, Tracy injected in both the eyes. He gave the patient severe infection which is uncalled for.He is useless, he doesn't know about macular degeneration, retinopathy, or corneal opacities. Learn to wear gloves. Clean headrest and chinrest. If patient is uncomfortable, find the reason and disinfect the instruments and examination area. Stop insulting, yelling, and shouting. He knows there is nobody there except his receptionist wife Natalie, so he can act uncontrollable and mannerless. This is the worst doctor !

Dr. Michael Tracy is by far the best opthamologist I have ever found.  He is helping my mother who has a few challenges and we could not be more pleased with him.  Thank you Dr. Tracy.I highly highly recommend.

I came to Dr Tracy with a -9.50 prescription and was sick of wearing contacts and glasses. He recommended PRK because of how high my prescription was and I agreed. I had the procedure done last fall and I am now seeing perfectly!! It really is incredible to be able to see so crystal clear. The surgery itself was a breeze and recovery was not too bad either. Also, Natalie was extremely helpful and she always checked in with me to see how I was recovering and gave me thorough pre and post instructions for my procedure. I just went in for another follow up and I am still impressed by how they continue to care for me even though I'm recovered now. I simply cannot say enough good things about Dr Tracy and Natalie. If you are thinking of getting eye surgery this is the place to go!

It's been six years now since my PRK procedure by Dr. Tracy and my vision is still excellent!  I don't even deal with the dry eye issue in the morning anymore and it's been amazing to be able to go without contacts and glasses all these years.  Thanks, Dr. Tracy!

Final review: This is a LONG time coming! My surgery date was delayed due to COVID. Natalie called me as soon as optional medical procedures were able to resume. My new surgery date was June 17th. I got a COVID test done beforehand and prepped everything I needed. I showed up to the facility and went through all the check-in processes. I was ushered to the area where my procedure would take place. Eventually Dr. Tracy came in to get me ready. He is extremely thorough! He explained the process and brought me back. Now the procedure itself: it was super fast! It feels like forever when you're on the table, but it was truly quick. The only downside was the overwhelming smell of burnt hair (no kidding!). Directly afterwards I could see a bit, not 100%, but I noticed how improved my vision was. The days following I enjoyed a dark room, lots of naps, lots of eye drops, and lots of audiobooks. I was pretty decently medicated and my follow up appointments went smoothly. Fast forward five months now, my vision is quite possibly perfect. Actually, I would say that my vision was pretty awesome as soon as 2 months after surgery. The tradeoff from going to perfect vision from the severe end of moderate nearsightedness seems to be a mild/moderate case of dry eyes. I apply eye drops several times a day and use an eye gel before bed every night. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! Would I recommend Carlsbad Eye Care? HIGHLY!

If you’re considering laser eye surgery, look no further! My boyfriend and I wanted to get laser eye surgery for some time now and decided that it only made sense to see 20/20 in 2020. We did a ton of research and It was clear that Carlsbad Eye Care/Dr. Tracey was a great choice. Just to be sure we asked around for recommendations and even those ended up pointing to Carlsbad Eye Care/Dr. Tracey. We gave them a call and Natalie did an amazing job of providing us with information on what to expect and booked our consultations. The consultations are super informative and help you prepare accordingly. We scheduled our surgeries two weeks a part, my boyfriends first then mine so we could take care of each other. The surgery itself is incredibly quick, it’s over before you know it and I didn’t feel any pain. They even give you a call that afternoon to check to see how your doing. Post surgery care was pretty manageable, you’ll mainly want to sleep and keep your eyes closed. Audiobooks and listening to shows I’ve already watched kept me entertained. My boyfriend was ready to go back to work after a week. I took about a half week longer to get back to work because I had a hiccup where I was trying to get something that was in my eye out and ended up causing a bit of a tear. It sounds worse than what it was, it didn’t really feel like a tear, it kind of felt like a clear eyelash was stuck in my eye and made it water a lot. When I started to experience this discomfort I called Dr. Tracey and he made a point to see me right away. He set me up with a new bandage contact and after about half a weeks more rest, the tear was healed and I was back to work. The 2-3 weeks we returned to work/our routines, our vision was still adjusting, but definitely manageable to carry on. I’d say 4 weeks after surgery we both felt 100% adjusted. It’s now been 3 1/2 months post surgery and we couldn’t be happier. It is so nice not to worry about glasses or contacts and to just wake up with perfect vision. I can’t believe I took so long to pull the trigger and get this done. Dr. Tracey and Natalie are super knowledgeable and provided such a positive/friendly experience. If you’re interested in laser eye surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Tracey!

I put up a review of Dr. Tracy years ago but for some reason it’s not here. So I’m doing it again. I think that says something that, because I had such a great experience, I want to make sure that everyone knows it. I have a rare condition called corneal neuralgia (seen recently on Dr. Oz) that, even though Dr. Tracy doesn’t specialize in it, he was able to spot it while every other eye doc I saw couldn’t. He was the first and really only doc that understood how devastating and debilitating it is. When I left my last appointment with him, I felt empowered knowing what it was and that a medical doctor verified that it’s real. Since then it’s been a horrid struggle getting so-called “experts” to really understand it and to properly treat it. I haven’t seen Dr. Tracy in a while but now I’m going to go back to him, if anything to just get some emotional support. Even though he doesn’t treat it, I do have a little dry eye as well so that will be my excuse. ;) I can’t recommend him enough. Every time I talk to anyone about my condition, ironically, he is literally the only doctor’s name I mention. And what I usually say is “Even though he couldn’t treat it, he gave a $#!+ and you’d be an idiot not to go to him.” If even one person went to him on my recommendation, I’ll know I did my part in making someone else’s life a little better. :) Oh, and his wife is an angel. She actually remembered me! That meant soooo much.
