Q. Julia Tian's Online Review Report Card

My ENT Otolaryngologist of twenty plus years retired last December! I have chronic sinus issues and I found myself in the unenviable position of finding a new doctor. I am grateful that I found Dr. Tian. She spend a good deal of time listening to my situation and giving me as much time as I needed for the consultation. She is clearly is very knowledgeable, and I’m happy to report easy to work with and willing and able to answer all questions in an un-rushed manner.

I have been battling allergies for years that leave me with sinus and ear pressure. I have been to multiple Dr's concerning this issue. Dr Tian was the first Dr to really listen to me and was so understanding. I am now on an immunology tx. She is wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone that suffers from allergy issues.

In love with dr. Tian. Her staff is awesome. Front desk was extremely polite & helpful. From scheduling to even helping with directions. Dr. Tian’s ma was very nice. Dr. Tian is a very smart doctor & was great at answering my problems & concerns with my health.

Each visit I learn more and more about my particular ear issues.

Dr. Tian was friendly and willing to listen to my concerns. After I told her about my nosebleeds and vertigo, She immediately ordered nasal endoscopy and dizziness test. I was able to see the screen during the nasoendoscpy, Dr. Tian explained to me the findings and I was even allowed to take pictures of the screen. The MA Jaime was super nice as well. I would recommend them.

UPDATE: Which would you prefer: to get put on hold for ten minutes, or to leave a message which no one returns? Nothing has improved here since I began visiting them. Unprofessional.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nice doctor, but the office is broken. 1. Paid my money for allergy drops in January, and waited for a call. Nothing, and it's now April. 2. Started calling. Left three messages on two separate weeks. I reached the receptionist who said that apparently I was leaving messages for someone who is no longer employed there. (So, ... did they take the phone with them??)

Had two appointments in this office for allergy testing. The first appointment was uneventful. On the return appointment, I was put in an exam room and the door was closed but slightly ajar while I waited for the doctor to come in. Not sure if the office staff, including physician assistants didn't realize a patient was in that room, but the staff, including someone who was the office administrator or office manager started discussing the VERY PERSONAL details of a patient who had apparently been in that day. This wasn't health personnel discussing a health condition in a matter-of-fact manner, this was derogatory, insulting, demeaning, not to mention unprofessional dialogue going on while other patients are in the office. THIS WAS PURE AND SIMPLE GOSSIP. I wanted to get out of there ASAP because all I could think of was as soon as I leave, they're going to start shredding me. Is there no professionalism out here? I'm beginning to think this is where all the workers go who can't cut it in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

The reason for my visit with Dr. Tian was a severe sinus infection with all of the related symptoms. She did a nasal endoscopy without numbing my nose. I've had an endoscopy in the past without pain. This was quite excruciating. Her only comment was that I have a deviated septum and should consider surgery. I cannot believe that she could not see the inflammation and signs of infection. It seems like she doesn't have much compassion for a person with sinus pain. I basically drove for an hour each way for nothing.

Do not go to this office! Unethical practices and costly unnecessary procedures are performed and you will not be advised of any cost until you get a surprise bill. The previous review hit it right on: very broken office!! From the front desk, to the Dr, to the medical assistant, all the way to the manager - complete incompetence. There is no care in this Healthcare office. You will be guaranteed stress and no help if you go here. Avoid at all costs!
