I would like to share my experience and warn people about this clinic. Every 4 months I have face medical treatments with Dr. Mehta. And 3 weeks ago my next appointment was scheduled on December 5. I have received several reminder notifications about an upcoming appointment and the check in. After I arrived and checked in, I spent 15 minutes waiting for a nurse who finally showed up and informed me that Insurance did not approve my treatment. This information could have been given to me in the three weeks, but they waited until I was sitting in the exam/treatment room. I’ve got the impression that the stuff including nurses at this clinic don’t care about their patients or about patience time. This has happened before and after addressing it with the manager, I thought it would never happen again. I would expect the stuff at this clinic to have the confirmed approval from the insurance company before confirming my appointment and making me drive and waste my time. Very poor management! Save your time and gas and find a more professional and caring provider.

Thank you Dr Mehta for making me hear again! I strongly recommend Dr Mehta for being an amazing doctor, very professional and helpful. My experience with him was perfect, I had a stapedoctomy surgery and it went very well.

Lies, delays and does strange surgical things that he did not describe before surgery. Tells you to just wait for results instead of fixing problems. Results never come since problems are never fixed due to inability to perform correct surgical procedures. Advises to perform additional band aid treatments like botox to disguise ability to be an actual doctor. Secretary denise also a complete disaster nightmare , should explore a career in fighting instead of secretary since arguing is her specialty along with lying , delaying and not fulfilling her word. Do not go here under any circumstance

Dr mehta was my doctor for years. I had a cochlear implant for 8 years but many many months ago I developed a serious problem with drainage which got inc worse. He knew it was bad and did nothing about it. So in June I now had headaches, pain in that ear plus worsening balance problems. So I found a new ent doctor at ucsd. These group of doctors were appalled at the infection..plus other issues .. I had 6 hr of surgery in August. Warning: do not have cochlear implant by Dr Mehta.. Slowly getting better but it hasn’t been easy. Infection was in the bone!!!!i.

Do not go to Dr. Mehta for any services! Office is terribly managed and are not patient/customer friendly. Over a year ago, I went to Dr. Mehta for a free consultation for rhinoplasty. The consultation is very clearly advertised on their website and Instagram as free. After my consultation, I went to numerous other plastic surgeons for consultations and ended up deciding on a different surgeon. Prior to deciding on a surgeon, I requested additional before and after images of Dr. Mehta’s past rhinoplasties. Denise, who is the patient coordinator, said she would send additional before/after images to me but after contacting her multiple times, she never sent me any photos or provided any additional details I requested. Instead I received numerous repeated calls from the front desk asking when I was going to schedule my surgery. When I said I wanted to be provided the further details I requested, I still never received any follow up, just more phone calls asking when I was scheduling my surgery. Fast forward to a year later, I am now receiving a bill for my “free” consultation and the office billed my insurance when I only went for a consultation and did not receive any medical care. The office now refuses to answer my calls or the calls from my insurance. Additionally the bill is from California Head and Neck Specialist which I never once visited that facility. Every other plastic surgeon I visited for a free consultation did not bill my insurance. Would not recommend Blue Illusion or Dr. Mehta.

Dr Mehta fixed my Deviated Septum. He is with out a doubt one of the humblest men you will ever meet, but he is always being recognized by his peers as the best of the best. My favorite things about Dr. Mehta are that he does not waste time and he believes you when you say something is wrong. Instead of recommending a nasal spray or some vitamin, he just made an appointment to get me x rayed and allergy tested. He got right to the point of the problem right away. I also really appreciate that he is very calm. He does not hype things up and make you over think or feel stressed. Post surgery he was amazing. I had a concern in the middle of the night and he called me back personally right away. He went above and beyond. My friends and family were shocked my nose still looked the same, and thrilled they no longer have to hear me wheezing about! Food tastes better and I haven't had an asthma since. I am so grateful.

Dr. Mehta has been okay the few times we've seen him. However, I have called his office and rarely gotten through. I leave messages and they are never returned. The last one was about 3 weeks ago because we were out of hearing aid batteries. I finally just ordered them on Amazon. He is no longer at Scripps which makes it harder to stop by his office. Not sure we will return.

The doctor was so sure of his diagnosis he never considered other options, even when the CT Scan showed definitively that his diagnosis was wrong. My medical history would have suggested another culprit to my hearing trouble, but he never asked. He recommended surgery based on the wrong diagnosis, which I agreed to, not knowing about the CT Scan, and then my hearing was worse afterward.

I have had nothing but poor service from the admin staff, they made errors on appointment dates, and had little experience dealing with my insurance. They could not explain what co-payments would be required. They just park me on hold and hope I go away! My surgical procedure failed to improve my hearing, in fact made it worse. Suggest you find another doctor.

Doesn't seem to concern about the patient problem and take it very lightly.
