I have a very unusual situation going on with my throat (esophagus). I have received NO help in the last year from any doctors I have seen. I sought out Dr. Sandhu because of what I read in his profile. He seemed to focus on the uppper GI which is where I need help. I sent him a letter ahead of our video visit to give him a heads up on my unusual situation. We got on the video call, he asked me questions that were all addressed in the letter (which he acknowledged he received and read) then told me to go back to the last doctor (who gave me NO help) and continue care with him. The whole thing was over in 10 minutes. He offered no helpful suggestions, he did not offer to do any exams or procedures.... It was like he did not want to be bothered. He was so dismissive. What a complete waste of time and money. I would describe him as indifferent and unsympathetic.

Dr. Sandhu is extremely knowledgeable in his clinical expertise. Dr. Sandhu takes the time needed to listen and also provides compassion to his patients who may be facing difficult and challenging journeys ahead depending on diagnosis. Thank you, Dr. Sandhu, for your dedication to caring for patients in need.

I had a bad experience in the ER yesterday, Aug 11, Saturday afternoon. I brought my special needs daughter in because of depression. She's mentally a child. The phlebotomist drew blood - it was a bad scary experience. I said to my daughter, Lets go. On our way out a nurse yelled "don't let her go". Several men tackled her roughly and forced her into a room and put her on a bed, bending her arms back and scaring both of us - we were terrified. It's wrong to treat us like we were criminals. For the past 24 hours they won't let me see her. And they won't talk to me on the phone, either. The nurse was rude and said "we have two phone numbers for you, if we need to talk to you, we will call you. She hung up. She wouldn't give me her name. This was today , Sunday, at 5, and 4;30, and also this morning, several times. Something very hush hush is going on. I'm sure my daughter has bad bruises. Will you look into this.? I was referred to Dr. Sandhu for GI pain and acid reflux. I called the office after an initial appointment because of severe stomach pain. It took TWO WEEKS of phone calls every 2-3 days and speaking with the office manager before I received a phone call from Dr. Sandhu. I later had an EGD with Bravo to determine best course of treatment for acid reflux. I had to call the office twice to find out my test results and was not given a good explanation of what was going on besides "you have reflux"

Dr. Sandhu is the one who questioned my liver numbers when I went for my first colonoscopy at 50 years of age. He said I needed to have more tests and that's when I was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis. He was very knowledgeable which has helped keep me calm! Being diagnosed with a relatively rare auto-immune disorder that has damaged my liver was disheartening and scary but he has much confidence that I can live with this many years and so I am hopeful I have a long life left!
