Some of the worst medical service (receptionists, doctors, excluding Dr Victoria and Dr Clark who are awesome!) I have ever experienced. Don’t go here! Sign up for One Medical LA instead, their telemedicine is 10 times better and more reliable, even if you have to take a longer drive.Examples: took 2 months to get physical appointment. On day off, doc decided to cancel. I don’t get it rescheduled. Receptionist didn’t want to give me a reason why. Got charged for a blood test without consulting with me first. When a person I know had Covid, there was zero support, none. Just: get tested, stay home, sit it out. No suggestions on how to decrease viral load, no recommendations for anything. Not even a reach out.
My sons have Dr Victoria .. Hes a very good doctor.. Always concerned about you and your health and he will call you back but its just trying to get a message to him to call you back is a pain... But the clinic is the worst cant go to urgent care unless you have an appt .. And the call backs are the worst ..it takes them forever to call you back... I was onhold for almost an hr and then put on a call back list.. Im still waiting for that call back
I had insurance and they still tried to charge me out of pocket. Criminals
Have Dr. Deloaand love her except she is unavailable for appointments...
Receptionist is cold and uncaring. Could at least be helpful to direct patients to another location. I asked if they could help me I just got a flat out No! Because my insurance isn’t accepted.
After seeing his doctor forunrelated issue his doctor told him to call in a few days if his symptoms continued. He sent messages through MyMChart, which is urged by Sansum Clinic and after countless attempts with no response he went in only to be told his doctor was booked for 2 weeks go to U/C downstairs which he did and told he had to make an appointment for the next day, Urgent Care is supposed to be same day! That doctor was completely uselesz didn't check vitals told him he had diarhdia cause he isn't eating solid food!!! What did a doctor really tell a patient that? Then wanted a stool sample, there's no stool it's liquid the patient had to beg for antibiotics. The patient finally went 25 miles away to a different location to find a doctor who actually examined gin and diagnosed this poor guy with gallstones! Now he has to wait to have surgery when this could have been resolved 2 months ago. This guy pays out of pocket cash to be seen. Sansum Clinic in carpinteria is going way down hill when it comes to patient care. Watching somosom go through this has not only been scary, but very upsetting to watch how doctors show how much they care about you as a person, a patient, it ridiculous!
Dr DeLoa really listens and helps you get the care you need!
I have been a client of Dr. Trautwein for many years. She has been nothing but caring, thorough and receptive to concerns. The nurses/PA's are personable and helpful. Handy to have Urgent Care on site (which usually requires next day appointment) for x-rays and other special needs. Highly recommend!
I just returned from getting x rays at Sansum in Carpinteria. I was greeted very courteously, the wait time was minimal and the xray tech was delightful. Mainly I am writing because this is the about the fifth time I have been there and have always had good visits, but looking at the other reviews my experiences do not match. Maybe it is because only unreasonable people write them, like the gentleman who came in and wanted an xray. He was politely greeted and explained they were full and could not accommodate him today. He walked out and was upset and expressive. Since this is not an urgent care the gentleman was wrong, but he seemed like the type to complain although it was entirely him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
