Jason Alvarado's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Alvarado is the most empathetic & thorough doctor I have ever seen. He takes his time with each patient, asks questions, and truly tries to help each patient with their medical concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarado to everyone. I have even switched my entire family over to his practice. His office staff is always professional and helpful. I am always able to get in on short notice when needed. I am very thankful to have found Dr. Alvarado and this office.

My father sees Dr. Alvarado which he's a ok physician. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is because some of the front desk staff dont have that good of an attitude. Mind you my dad is 68 yrs old and he depends on me for all his appointments, medicine he's on, doctors he sees. I always assist to all his appointments for the same reason, the only office I have a problem with is this office. They dont allow you to go in with the patient. You have to wait in the lobby or outside. Depends what mood the front desk is in. The Doctor always ends up wanting to talk to me so he will come outside and repeat everything he just told my dad when we could of saved some time by just letting me go in with him. Or I always have to end up calling to get all the information for that visit since hes clueless about what was spoken or what test/labs he needs. Not even torrance memorial is this strict, I get to go in with him all the way to the GI lab in to the pre-op room up to where they wheel him out to the operation/ procedure room for his procedure... Its very frustrating since like i said he depends on me when it comes to all his doctors appointments. Another problem we always encounter is getting refills on his medication. They always say it was sent when it never has, or they never call back with lab results when they say they will. We are seriously thinking of switching PCP at this point or put a complaint directly to Tanya Cruz with THIPA or to THIPA director Yumiko Lee if things do not change in this office.

Honestly if there were a (10) star rating I would give it......... Dr. Jason Alvarado has been "A Blessing" for me to have found him especially being a senior citizen of 81 yrs old.  From my very first visit till now he has done more for me then any other doctor had in a very long time. He's young, he takes time with you, he actually touches you & examines you and he's compassionate toward his patients!  He shows you that he's genuinely concerned about your well-being, he really does!  He has no problem referring you out to specialist and even gave me an " Urgent Referral" to see a doctor , I never knew that was possible. .  Needless to say, I'm very happy to have found him and I would have absolutely no reservations recommending him to both family or friends.

Great doctor. He's very knowledgable, caring, and younger. A huge plus for me is that he's a cyclist and also knows about the local cycling scene. Very relatable if you are an athletic person.

Dr. Jason Alvarado is excellent! I have spent the last ten years searching for a good primary care doctor and finally I have found a keeper. He is a very thorough Doctor. He took his time with me and went through my whole medical history along with family history during my initial visit. He also addressed all my concerns and came up with treatment plans for my ailments. He is knowledgeable and has a very calming, caring demeanor. I am very happy to have found this provider. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarado.
