My mother came to get iron transfusions and the employees are very sweet and professional.They made us feel at home.

Office staff, medical support and imaging center staff experience were a 10/10. Dr. Dao on the other hand is a 2 /10, he is extremely cold and it's Drs like him that are responsible for the high suicide rates in autoimmune patients. I was referred due to symptoms that have been escalating for 6months, pain, extreme fatigue, swollen and painful lymph nodes, headaches, etc. I keep having lymph node that become hard and extremely painful then subsided, then another area will do the same. I was hopeful that Dr. Dao being a hematologist we could do some blood work and investigate what is happening. The only blood work take was basic panels by a different dr. When Dr. Dao gave me my results of the CT scan, I cried partially out of relief that it wasn't cancer but also out of frustration as his only suggestion was to come back to rescan in a year. Which means living with pain and debilitating fatigue for a year. When I asked questions everything was come back in a year. He never once asked if I was ok, or inquired why I was upset or addressed my crying at ALL. It felt like all he was looking for was cancer and that was it. You can't tell a patient that they have lymph nodes swollen in there arm pits, chest, and groin but offer no solution to their symptoms other than to take Tylenol it's not healthy to take it every day for a year. I understand that the enlargement of the nodes isn't "within" perimeters to do a biopsy but does that mean I have to go home and wait for it to become cancer to do anything? Does it mean that the results of the scan plus my symptoms mean nothing? I'm just supposed to live in pain because the tests don't show it's "bad" enough yet? As someone who has struggled with autoimmune and chronic issues for most of my life, I know my body and I know what my "normal" pain is cause I live with it every f**king day!! And I know when it's different. This is different and even the scan showed something was going on but I guess just not "BAD" enough .... yet. This is why autoimmune/chronic patients have such high suicide rates cause their pain/ issues aren't enough or bad enough to help them, so they go home and live in pain until it's too much to live with!

For transparency, I have been to many different clinics/offices and doctors. Within and outside of different networks. My current job offered a cheaper option this past year, and I opted to try it out... since I only needed a few prescriptions that I refill every few months. I didn't realize it could become such a complicated situation when I finally needed to get a refill with a new Dr. Contacted this office to set up a new patient visit, and mainly to refill some prescription ointments I've had since I was a child. Front desk receptionists have been great and were able to get the Dr to squeeze me in earlier than the scheduled date since it was months away. Day of the visit: Sharonica was friendly, awesome and very helpful while checking me in. 2 stars are strictly for her, and only HER performance. Here's where things start to go downhill... Dr Dhawan came in and asks the general questions and is unable to provide any more information about my condition that what I had already known. He says he has to recommend me to a specialist (which I expected). Fast forward a few days and I need a refill: Called on Friday and am told the Dr asks for 24 hrs to fill it. Next day comes and no update from the pharmacy, I call but the office is closed weekends. Monday comes and I really need a refill, I get told the same thing that they are waiting for Dr. to approve the refill and they will get back to me. No response. I call back and today is now Tuesday... SAME RESPONSE. Except this time, I'm told the Dr. is very busy... to which I had to contain myself from laughing out loud over the phone. I don't know what kind of practice they are running where a Dr. cannot even take a moment to respond to a patient or refill a prescription that we've established I require daily. Now I'm still waiting for call back to confirm if I can get a refill or not... LOL If you have other options, I strongly suggest you try those first. Side note - why is the initial response to any health abnormalities, to issue a prescription? Why not try adjusting lifestyle and diet first? Not so epic creativity for all those years of schooling.

I'm beyond frustrated with this office. They are so inconsiderate of the patient's time. My mom is a patient of Dr. Dao and every time she has an appointment, it's either got rescheduled without notice or he was SUPER late. When I complained, they told me he has 2 hours window from the appt time to call or seen patients... WTH is that BS?!??? We made appt for a reason. Who the hell will have time to sit around and wait for 2 hours. So are they saying only "Doctor's" time are valuable and patient's time is not? If you can't see patient that scheduled time... then DON'T!!! Stop being greedy and overbooked!!! We had to take time off from work to help our mom with her appt... ended up it was just a waste of our time! All the previous appointments my mom had to wait 30-60 mins to be seen for less than 5 minutes. This is straight up irresponsible from the doctor and quite honestly RUDE!! I will be looking for new doctor for my mom. We paid for service... not getting it for FREE so please be respectful to your patients! Would NOT recommend this office to anyone!

I was referred to them by my previous physician who was no longer in this field of practice. I made an appointment with them to get to know my doctor better and see if they really actually care about their patients. It is sad to say but my doctor did not even take the time to read my previous medical history, and to make matters worse she was rushing me to get me out of their department as soon as she can. I was trying to explain my symptoms but I felt like she did not care to know. After everything was done she said she will be referring me to specialist but clearly she was just saying words to make me feel like she understands the situation. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I understand how frustrating it can be when people who are suppose to help are no longer in it for the right reasons. I will definitely not be coming back here and advice anyone who is looking for a new doctor to stay away from here (mainly family practice).

Horrible service in terms of reaching out to your insurance company. My insurance approved my prescription September 2020, it's now January 2021 and I'm due for my infusion however, EPIC care can't seem get it together!!! I've been waiting almost 2 weeks from my medication I'm in so much pain. I'm the one having to call the center daily. I'm so frustrated!!! Wondering if all EPIC facilities are this way or just the one in Castro Valley???
