MIchael Mcglynn's Online Review Report Card

Dr McGlynn is a very rude doctor. I am a Medical Assistant he had referred a patient to us, it is there job to send us a referral with patients information and why they need to be seen. I called him to get information about a certain patient he told me that he shouldn't be doing my job and that I can get the information myself but how am I going to get information when I have no access to the patient he just told me to figure it out and hung up he was very rude.

I was treated several years ago by this doctor and it was the most painful experiance I have ever encountered. Not on only this doctor want to postpone at the last minute my surgery but was very rude about it when my husband and I were upset about the last minute change in schedule. Dr. Mcglynn actually told me and my husband that if we had a problem with the scheduled surgery change to go see another doctor. I decided to except the last minute schedule change be because I didn't want to go through the task of starting over with a new doctor. Boy was that a mistake! After my surgery ( a hysterectomy) I was in so much pain! I voiced my pain issue to the staff nurses. The next day afterwards that doctor blew into my room and chewed me out about being " rude" to his nursing staff! I couldn't believe it! Here I am in excruciating pain and I'm being yelled at ( yes,yelled at) by my mean doctor! I remember being in tears and couldn't wait to get out of that place! I was in there..Eden Hospital for 4 long days! Again this was years ago but as you can tell has left a emotional mark. I feel that maybe posting the truth about this man and my experiance I can finally put closure to this horrible experiance.

Dr. Mcglynn was given my file from dr Politico said was lost. Then I had an exam and mammogram. He never forwarded to my regular doctor. Then he moved from 433 Estudillo San Leandro to Castro valley never telling me. I wouldn't give him any stars

Dr. McGlynn is a very nice doctor who is very knowledgeable and really cares about his patients!

Dr. Mcglynn and his team is great! Throughout my whole pregnancy he was great he delivered my son back in March 2017. I recommend him to everyone! :)

Warning! Do not go here. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctors office. First of all the office do not even utilized a computer! It's dark and ugly. My GYN retired and I unfortunately ended up here. When you call you cant even get ahold of anyone. When you get ahold of a so called answering service and ask for a call back you don't get a call back. This man billed me almost 300.00 for being a new patient! That's right, over 300.00 just because I was a new patient. In addition to that he charge me for a exam and for a test that he did not perform. He diagnosed me with something that I am still confused about. When I disputed the bill it took over a YEAR for me to get any information. The guy who handles the billing won't call you back. The people in the office won't call you back! Finally, I sent a email to the so called person who handles the billing and do you know he responded to me that the charges were going to remain and he was sending me to a collection agency. Now I have been trying for over a YEAR to find out what all these outrageous charges were for - getting no response and now you going to send me to a collection agency! I had to pay the money to avoid being sent to a collection agency. I went into the office and the woman who only works 2 days a week there and who I left several messages to call me is the one who finally told me what this bogas charge was for. This billing person is trying to get as much money as he can for this doctor. Listen, I can only warn you and let you know this was a horrible experience. I would not let this doctor touch me with a 10 foot pole and never go back here except to go and pick up my medical records!

Once again he's a failure. On Yelp says he is open. Go there to find out they're closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's. Such a pathetic place

I never write reviews but I've had so many problems with this place. The doctor is great I saw him once but his staff is god awful! They need to be fired if the doctor wants to help his business he would get rid of them because it's not him it's his staff. I had to schedule my appointment for my once a year check up and when I called they were rude on the phone and acted annoyed. They gave me an appt for the 15th at 3:00. It was for the next month. I waited and I got ready for my appt and they called me around 12:00 and left a voicemail saying that they can't see me they need to cancel. No biggie right? So I call them back so they can re schedule.this women answers and tells me to call back later cause they were on their lunch. Not to mention every time I call they say they are on lunch. Anyway I call back at 2:00 to see if I can re schedule my apt and the lady says we have a next appointment available for next month. I asked her "you don't have anything for this week, I mean you guys cancelled my appt" and she got annoyed and said no we are all booked. She kept giving me attitude and got mad. I told her well do you at least have anything for next week and she said no we all are going on vacation. Then I just told her sorry I'll be taking my business else where and she said okay and hung up. This has happened to me so many times where I need to be seen and they cancel on me. The doctor is great but the staff is shit. It's so sad to think that the doctor is going to lose out on patients because of his employees.

Doctor McGlynn delivered our baby at Eden medical center. We had not met him before our experience and were beyond pleased with his services and character!!! If I could have it my way, he would be my primary doctor, too bad I cannot have it my way though haha. Doctor McGlynn is highly knowledgeable but compassionate and honest and that is exactly what my spouse and I needed. We could not have asked for a better doctor to deliver our baby!!! I intended on have a natural vaginal birth but due to complications unrelated to the day of delivery I ended up with a cesarean and was delightfully surprised that no matter what the outcome is, it was still such an amazing experience. One thing is for sure though, we would not have had the same experience if it was not for doctor McGlynn. In his defense to the below reviews, McGlynn is a surgeon who works at the Alta Bates and Eden center. Every day that I was in the hospital (3days) he was there in the early morning, delivering babies or in surgery till the late afternoon. I know that he leads a very busy work life and that is because he is great at what he specializes in. I have no doubt about his performance and I truly hope that if we decide to have another baby that he will be the one to deliver, if not then I really might reconsider, haha. I truly have high hopes for an ob/gyn, surgeon!!

Let me start off by saying that I have never written a bad review (nor any review for that matter) in my 29 years of living. However, this office and their practices have encouraged me to make a yelp account and warn people of the terrible customer service that this office has. Not too long ago, my girlfriend had a gynecological issue that required immediate attention and she had told me that every time she would call the office they would never be available. I thought that this could definitely not be so, so I took it upon myself to call them and get a hold of the doctor to hopefully get this taken care of. I mean, it's a doctor's office, you would THINK that it would be the easiest place to get a hold of someone since there are countless emergencies that require immediate attention. YEAH RIGHT!! This office does not even have an answering machine, instead you get a busy signal. I continuously called for over an hour and when I finally got a hold of the receptionist she had told me that the doctor was out to lunch until 3 pm, it was 12 pm! I then asked if I can leave a message and she said "sure, but he may not be able to get back to you." I found that to be completely unacceptable but still said ok. I gave her my information and, of course, never heard back and here it is 3 days later and STILL nothing. This place sucks!I have been a manager for corporations for over 5 years and I now run two different business and I would never run a business or a practice the way this one is ran. But, by all means if you want to be sure to not get the help you need when you need it definitely utilize this office.
