Very knowledgable and compassionate. He is approachable and friendly but will professionally take care of your health problems. He will explain the laboratory, radiology and the diagnosis to you in detail. He will call you if you missed the appointment. Highly recommended.

Dr. Niaz and his staff are bullies that force people into chemotherapy and treatment for money. They prey on patients that have little social support and resources. The nurse at his office has made angry phone calls to family members of patients who decide to discontinue treatment. Don’t choose Dr. Niaz if you have the option. If you don’t have a choice, make sure to stand your ground and advocate for what you want. Do lots of research, talk to your primary care physician about how you want your quality of life to be.

My name is Phil I am the son of a patient who is getting medical care from Doctor Niaz with Epic Care. He was a doctor we went to for a 3rd opinion and his prognoses was far better than the previous 2 doctors. He helped my Mother avoid getting radiation therapy by taking oral medication that had few side effects.He is one of the best doctors I have ever had the privilege of working with. He really listens to me when I express my concerns and gives answers to all the questions I have that show he really cares. He is someone I would recommend to anyone who may need his services.

Staff is not caring, on personal calls without acknowledging patient. Can't get a needed prescription because "he hasn't had time to look at it yet", for a patient with serious side effects from radiation. Unacceptable.

Review on promptness. Empty waiting room except us, but still with over an hour wait with appointment. Would be nice to know why they're slow... that way we could understand. If you don't tell us, then we won't know. Right? We do hope the doctor is super good. Hoping being late does not equal great quality of care or MD's practical & theoretical skills. He genuinely cares for his patients, remembering details of my health problems that even I have forgotten. I am so glad that I have him for the treatment of the most dangerous disease that I've ever had.

Dr. Qaiser Niaz is a very-well informed, thoughtful, caring, and understanding physician. Dr. Niaz always has time for questions, and is able and happy to provide any information I want to know. Talking to Dr. Niaz alleviates all of my worries and fears associated with my lymphoma. But despite his straightforwardness, he knows what to say to keep me informed but not stressed during the most traumatic time of my life.He genuinely cares for his patients: his treatment is thorough, careful and flexible. He has me tested as soon as any symptoms arise, always carefully following up afterwards. Dr. Niaz is incredibly attentive, often remembering symptoms that need to be addressed that even I had forgotten. The doses he prescribed during my treatment were not set in stone, and could be adjusted according to my current needs. I am especially thankful for this -- cancer treatment is a prolonged and exhausting process but his flexibility with prescribing harsh drugs helped me get through to the very end. I am so grateful that I was in his care during my fight against cancer.  There is a hero in Epic Care in Castro Valley.
