The staff is so friendly and easy to communicate with.
*Posting again because my review got deleted*I have a lot to say about this hospital, please bear with me. I came in with a lot of back pain and unbearable internal itchiness that kept me up at night. I couldn't sit or lay down comfortably. I came to see Dr.Joseph Yi because he was my primary physician. I was hoping he could give me answers, but he just brushed it off saying it's probably caused by stress. I returned a couple weeks later in even more pain than before and was again told it was psychosomatic and he proceeded to laugh asking me what I was so worried about. What kind of doctor laughs at and minimizes a patient's pain? I asked for an MRI order to see what was going on in detail, he said he couldn't just give me one and at the end of the day didn't give me one. Knowing that this was not in my head I went to see several other specialists for my pain. One of the specialists I found genuinely cared that I was in pain and wanted to get to the root of it. He ordered me an MRI without me even asking on the first visit and gave me some nerve medication to help with the pain and itch in the meantime-amazing!Long story short I got my MRI results back and turns out I had a significantly herniated disc that was hitting a nerve. I returned to Dr. Joseph Yi to show him my MRI results and to see what the next steps would be. He then proceeded to get extremely defensive and basically gave me a short lecture as to why he could not order me an MRI. His reasoning?? Because I didn't show the traditional symptoms of a herniated disc...I am highly disappointed with Dr. Yi. Dr. Yi does not genuinely care about your well being, and he finds every question a nuisance and looks like he hates his job. If you feel like something is wrong with your body, trust your instinct and get it checked out. Dr. Yi seems to think that as a relatively younger patient, it is not probable that I would have anything serious. I was in pain for two whole months because he would not take my symptoms and concerns seriously, and I had to take matters into my own hands. It is unacceptable for a doctor, especially my own primary doctor whom I trust, to laugh at and minimize a patient's pain.If you want genuine care from a doctor who will take the time to look into your symptoms instead of brushing them off because they're not traditional symptoms- go elsewhere. This hospital is only for patients with "traditional symptoms".
Concerning health, I would definitely recommend Grace family medical clinic and Dr. Ehum for family and friends. Not only are they efficient but they are compassionate when it comes to their patient care. I have rarely waited extensively to be seen nor did I have delays in care including referrals. The clinic has multiple rooms and equipments that are necessary for treatment on the spot. Parking is available all the time and it is located right next to the mall so you can not only get your health in line you can also hop over to eat or shop in few minutes. Love the location, the staff, the care provided!
This is the worst doctor I've ever visited. I would give this place a 0 out of 5 stars. He did not hear my concerns and rushed me out. He prescribed a lot meds but where not helpful at all. If your looking for a doctor the genuinely cares about your health and wants to help please go elsewhere. This doctor does not care and makes you feel like he only wants to get paid. Not cleanest place either. Thankfully I reported him to my insurance and they accommodated me to a better doctor.
I would give 0 stars if i could, please avoid this place. I had my boyfriend come here to get his suture removed and it was by far the worst experience for him. I initially called this place because it was Korean and was asking for the pricing for suture removal and she told me it would be $100 consultation and removal and maybe $20 more if the suture is larger. My boyfriend went in and they charged $130 saying $100 just for consultation and $30 for removal. The doctor came in no consultation provided at all and he came with scissors that were so dull that he was basically tugging the suture and took 4 trys to snip 1 suture and when my boyfriend told him about the pain and the scissors being dull he then went to get new scissors and proceeded to remove the suture. At the end the doctor covered my boyfriends wound with 2 regular bandaids and when my boyfriend asked for steri strips the doctor told him no you don't need that it only needs a band aid. He got home and when he removed the band aid the cut was open and bleeding! I was extremely furious that they didn't offer him the steri strips in the first place but more pissed when they didn't offer it to him when he asked for it!! WTH!! This place lacks care and knowledge. The worst part is the doctor didn't even provide any education on care post suture removal and was more persistent on getting my boyfriend to schedule another appointment to get a physical to check his liver, blood sugar, etc. Even when paying the front desk staff kept telling him to schedule a appointment. This place is a joke and they just want money they don't care about their patients and just find ways to charge you with things. Please save yourself the time and hassle especially if you are non Korean.
I'm a new patient looking for a Family doctor. Thought i'd give Grace and Dr. Ehum a try because they seem honest and transparent. Boy was I wrong! On my second visit, I pay my $5 copay and see the doctor to give me some xray results. He says everything looks great and rushes me out. I go home and a few days later I look over my insurance claims and they're trying to charge me $100+ for that visit! Didn't CA pass a law banning surprise medical bills? What is this charge? Why wasn't I notified when I first came in that there was going to be a $100+ charge for a regular visit? If that were the case, I would not have proceeded with the visit, just for the doc to say oh you're healthy! Not going to be sending my family to this doctor and will be disputing this charge. Are there any honest, transparent, doctors out there who aren't just trying to make money off their patients? Who genuinely care for people?
Absolutely wonderful experience!Dr. Eum was positive and friendly and knew what he was doing. Highly recommended.
This place is a joke. The staff lacks customer service skills and are not very friendly. Ana is the worst and acts like she is entitled. She is probably related to the doctor. I recently changed my primary physician to Dr. Ehum since it was closer to home. My insurance reassured me that it will show up in the system within 24 hours and encouraged me to keep my appointment. The staff at Dr. Ehum asked me to cancel my appointment because they were afraid that they may not get paid for the service. I gave them the reference number to verify with my insurance and Ana told me that it was not HER job to verify my insurance. She was rude when I came in and gave me a hard time. Ana and staff spoke Korean to each other and laughed while they helped me. She asked me to go to the back and said she needed to take my blood pressure and check my weight. She condescendingly asked me how much "I think I weighed" and told me how much I weighted after and laughed. As soon as she put me in the patient room, she laughed with the staff sharing with them what she asked me. I spoke to the doctor and let him know I was very upset how rude Ana was and reiterated the statement she made about verifying insurance is not HER job, it's the patient's responsibility. To my surprise, the doctor agreed with her and didn't apologize for his rude worker. Dr. Ehum's first statement was, let's get this moving so you can get out of here. This place is all about money and do not care about their patients. Furthermore, the doctor is not knowledgeable. I diagnosed myself and all he did was input my concerns into the computer. I asked him many questions that he could not answer. It's odd because one of the reviews mentioned that he cares about his patients and recommends the hollistic alternative. Dr. Ehum wanted to prescribe me medication for my vertigo. I asked if there were other things I can do and he stated that vertigo goes away on its own and there is nothing I can do about it. I got a second opinion from another doctor and it made me realize how idiotic Dr. Ehum is. Do not trust this doctor. There are so many exercises for vertigo and of course, Dr. Ehum did not believe in that. It makes me wonder where he went to med school. Highlight of my day was when Ana said, because you have HMO, you had to deal with something like this. If you had PPO, you would be able to come in here without a problem. It's just so much easier. Maybe you should change your insurance. This is the worst experience I've had. If you want good service and a knowledgeable doctor, this is not the place. Go somewhere else!
This clinic is awesome and provides great medical care. I am impressed by the office staff who are incredibly kind and willing to help you. In addition, Dr. Ehum is a caring doctor who listens to you and takes the time to discuss your concerns/explain diagnoses and treatment. He treats you as a person and not just a disease. I definitely recommend him if you are looking for a compassionate and knowledgable physician!
We went here few times, he brings in medical students to do first consultation which is really annoying if you are sick and you have to repeat yourself when you see the doctor. He isn't too nice either and he's condescending.
