Aegis Treatment Centers Chico's Online Review Report Card

I'm thankful for this place. I truly am . Even more for the employees that take there job seriouse enough to get there EARLY, to make sure everything is up and running. There is no place for us to sit and stay dry in cold wet whether. Not even our cars because someone will just steal your place in line. Even though you get there 1hr early so u could make it to work.Its under new management, and the care for us patients is ignored.

I love this center. They saved my life. I graduated in 2015, and still I thank my Higher Power for taking me there. I hope the staff know they make a difference in people’s life.

Staff only cares about getting you hooked and keeping you hooked. And money. Will boot you out instantly if don't pay with barely a detox. Michelle the manager made me feel very unwanted, uncomfortable and just horrible. I hate it there so much I drive 100 miles a day instead of going there. Counselors are between 22-25 with NO LIFE EXPERIENCE. Only relates by what memorized in text books. NOT GOOD FOR ANYONE REALLY WANTING RECOVERY OR ANY KIND OF HELP. Go to ATS in Marysville!

This place saved my life they gave me the tools but i do the work

Worst "Treatment" center ever. This place doesn't care about their "Patients" or their time and well being. Its just a cash grab that exploits the community of Chico because its the only option for drug addiction treatment.

This place has changed my life for the better I'm so glad I found this treatment center!

I was 6 yrs old when I had my first morphine experience at the dentist office, and it took away all the crunchiness i was feeling in my alcoholic home life. From that point on I sought out to kill all of my emotional pain with any kind of substances that were mind and mood altering.I was quite successful at finding pills in the cabinets of unsuspecting adults as I come from an era when addiction wasn't a house hold word especially from an elementary school kid. By age 11 i was drinking to get drunk smoking cigarettes, huffing gasoline daily. I was an adrenaline junkie as well lying cheating and burglaries were a wonderful cheap way of filling that bill. oh yes I was given positive strokes for beating up kids in our neighborhood that my dad didnt like. Children of alcoholics usually arent just given acceptence based on the fact that they are human. No, we have to do tricks like a dog to get approval from our parents. love isnt just a given. Having to make your own bottles when you are just 2 yrs. old does irreputable damage to a person. Opiates filled a void in me that otherwise felt raw like a wound that wont heal. By the time I found Aegis in Chico I was42. Nine other treatment centers,countless detox stays AA meetings by the hundreds and a gunshot wound to the head by a serial killer who had killed 17 other people. Nothing else has given me what Methadose Maintenance coupled with an individualized TX plan and exceptional staff members who are highly skilled people who are dedicated to the cause of helping sick hurting addicts become whole human being and sussessful members of society. thank you Aegis for the happyiest 10yrs of my 53 yr life. yes Aegis get 5 stars from me .

This is pretty much the worst experience people will get when receiving "treatment." Definitely a LAST RESORT to get off drugs. If you can stay on drugs to not withdrawal then you should do so instead of going to chico aegis .First off all the "therapy" they claim to offer is people with accents you wont understand, ...who also is extremely under educated and makes up rules as they go. Others include kids fresh out of college with 2 year degrees or less claiming they have lots of drug and therapy experience while still living at home with parents...to get you through your hard times. Then they quit after 1 year for bigger and better things because they're paid minimum wage.The manager,  Michelle, is probably the rudest person you will meet. If anything inconveniences her that's in her job description will get your take homes taken away or kicked out of the program.Overall policy for take homes are a joke. Dont expect anything to go your way here. If you ha e a emergency,  they dont care, if you have to leave town, they dont care, need to work oit of town or work related, they dont care...you can lose your job and they wont give a damn. Counselor's wont return your phone calls for requests, when they do it's too late or work they dont wanna do for you. The whole chico aegis is very lazy. Expect the very least, dont get your Hope's up,  wear head phones when in the waiting line, expect therapy to do nothing, and know you can never leave chico for more then 24 hrs and you wont be disappointed.I wish I could give negative stars to sink this rating to nothing...but hey...you wont detox

Good program

Wow look at the 35 new reviews that all happen to be 4 oor 5 stars the past few weeks. Incredible that for 3 years there was like 5 reviews all negative and then suddenly in one day everyone decides to say how great they are. It also happened (completely coincidentally I am sure) to the Aegis maysville page as well. Amazing!
