72 years old, I have had a lot of injuries. Orthopedic Associates and Doctor Hu were perfect.

after a 112 minute wait from my appointment time, I spent exactly 11 minutes of face time with the doctor. That caclulates out to a bad investment of my time. Promptness of meeting scheduled appts. is an unwritten contract that all too many doctors flout with seeming impunity. No matter how professional the actual doctoring is - this factor reflects extremely badly on the overall experience. I consider theft of my time an unforgiveable lack of professionalism. The follow up to my visit was to be referred to a physical therapist...never happened. Good thing I found a work around that has succeeded w/o that referral. In the simplest of terms, it was a bad day at the doctor's office.

I saw Dr Hu for a second opinion for my talus dome fracture. I had been told by a previous doctor that I was in need of a total ankle replacement. Upon meeting Dr. Hu I was immediately put at ease with his inclusiveness of going over my radiographs and MRI, something my other doctor did not do. He felt I was not a candidate for total ankle replacement, but rather arthroscopy . Dr Hu explained the procedure thoroughly and I never felt rushed. He listened to my questions and answered each one. Very nice human being. I am happy with my scheduled appointment for surgery, glad I made that second opinion appointment.

This was my first visit with Dr. Hu. He was through and informative the whole time. I appreciate his "tell like it is" manner.

Easily made follow-up appointment. Reception staff welcoming and accommodating. Dr, Hu (and staff colleagues) very skilled and thorough in examination, evaluation and communication of diagnosis and alternative treatment. Follow-up with orthotic supplier timely. Ball is in my court.

I highly recommend Dr. Hu if you need foot surgery. He was patient and answered all of my questions as well as all of my husband's. He spent time explaining what my conditions were and how he would fix them. He was available for questions post surgery and responded in a timely fashion. His medical assistant also responded quickly and helped resolve an issue with my knee scooter. I felt supported and heard during all phases of the process.

Dr Calvin Hu and staff are a super group of people to work with. They take time to make sure your visit is personal. I did not feel rushed during my visit. Dr Hu stayed focused on me and my recovery. He was concerned to hear of any discomfort or pain. I would highly recommend Dr Hu for anyone needing or thinking about foot surgery.

I couldn't be happier to have found Dr. Hu. He sincerely cares about you and is very intelligent. He obviously takes your issues seriously and makes sure all the right things are done for you. Very detailed oriented. Wish I had known about him earlier.
