List of Julie Archer's Reviews
If this office is consider "Chico's best" Chico has a serious problem! Health Care starts with the front desk. So we'll start there because this will be your first sign of the incredible lack of patient concern and incompetence. I don't and won't be able to meet Dr Archer because Dr Archer isn't taking new patients. Except she is if you see her PA. This seems to be normal practice around here. I'm a need Professor here from SF. I realize this area has problems with health care for many reasons but this was simple period. I just need blood work for a specific condition I've already been dealing with and have my levels checked to see how I'm doing. I gave access to all my health records from my previous MD. I see the PA, a young male. In first 5 minutes I was watching him roll his eyes at me. I noticed he misunderstood me when he ask if I've had my Vax yet I was saying I wasn't fully vaxed still needed my second shot he thought I said I wasn't at all. He did ask me 5 times if I would like my annual pelvic exam that day?!? Seriously not exaggerating 5 times! I've had a hysterectomy 30 years ago. I know what I need and don't. Creepy guy! I felt like running out of the room. But I just need this blood work. I get through all that. Go get my blood work done get results. He ordered the most basic blood work you can get. Not what I came in for! Not what I discussed! Well dam it!! I call to ask why and can he please call in or write prescription I can pick up so I can get the proper blood work? Front desk transferred me to the nurse Victoria. Ready for this?!? Her advice, "You can go online and make appointment for what blood work needed directly from Quest and just pay cash for it. I'm double insured! Why would I pay cash for a simple blood test? She thought this was good advice? Good care? It was clear I was completely bothering her. I requested for the PA call in or write prescription for correct blood work. I'm not paying cash when I'm insured.?!? Well I can just go to any urgent care and ask physician there to write prescription. WHAT?!? What the hell kind of advice is this?!? It's been a week and no response!
Easy to be a patiet
The best physician ever. Both kind and professional and so appreciated by her patients. She is almost like family: an integral part of one's life.... as it is and should be.
Dr. Archer has been a great doctor for myself and my family. In my experience, she is personable, professional, well educated, and thoughtful. In my experience, she is careful to investigate, but also careful to not over prescribe medications and tests.
I have been a patient for 15 plus years. Dr. Archer is a good, caring physician. She is overburdened with too many patients and sometimes the wait is long to see her. I feel lucky to have found her.
I have had Dr. Julie Archer as my primary doctor for 17 years, and am very happy to have her. She is warm, caring, a good listener, and helpful. She is usually booked solid, but on the rare occasion I really needed to get in for an acute issue, they were able to accomodate me, either with Julie or her wonderful PA, Linda Zimbleman.
Dr. Archer is the best doctor I have found in the city of Chico.
Dr Archer and Nurse Linda and their staff are the best:)
My husband and I both absolutely love Dr. Julie Archer. She provides superior patient care and her medical knowledge and care is amazing. She is one of the best physicians we have ever know. Would not want any other primary care physician. We trust her with our lives and her treatment. She has saved my husband several times by her research and treatment when other doctors could not find a cause. I give her a 30 in a scale of 1 to 10. She is the absolute best of the best. Chico was blessed when she moved here.
I've been a patient of Dr Archer's now since perhaps her second year in Chico. I'm getting older but so is she and my hope she stays in practice until at least one day after I die. the doesn't get everything right: she's had some problems with the front office and she's obviously facing some frustrations as she tries to cope with the new world of bureaucratized medicine. But on balance, she's a treasure--one of the things that makes life in Chico so pleasant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
