I use to have Dr.Valcareghni but he recently retired he took care of my other three pregnancies and my miscarriages. I'm sad he won't be here for my final baby. But as Far as the receptionist go there is one lady who is extremely rude and not professional she always has a attitude and seems uncaring about anything. I get it she sees lots of hormonal mammas every day but she is flat out rude over the phone and worse in person Ive had her even hangup on me before while trying to schedule my next appointments. The staff aside from the OB's need to either be trained or be replaced with a staff that cares.
Went above and beyond my whole pregnancy and delivery. Was always so kind and answering all my questions and concerns. Took his time at every appointment. And even went over every image of every ultrasound they did and explaining them. When I was induced he even stayed on call just for my baby and I when it was his night off and requested hourly checks on us.
I figured it out! The only reason people have to deal with enloe and their lack of customer service is because Chico doesn't have many options. This is such a shame! Enloes women’s services so far has been extremely terrible. I’m dreading the rest of my pregnancy if this is the rubbish I have to go through. Let me start by saying that booking my first prenatal appointment with them was horrible. I have had kids before and wasn’t at enloe (Thank God) or Chico and compared to that experience enloe is a nightmare. You cannot talk to anyone on the phone the first time you call to book an appointment. You would have to leave a voice message for the scheduling coordinator to call you back.First this makes no sense. But let’s continue to follow enloes way of booking an appointment. You leave a message and they call you back maybe the next day. If you miss the call, then you have to call back and leave another message and the process repeats. How ridiculous is it that enloe loves to waste people’s time with this ridiculous booking service? To my next point, after missing the first call at 7:41 am, because clearly I wasn’t seating on my phone waiting for this scheduling coordinator to call I mean most people have stuff to do right?. I called back immediately and as we all predicted, no one picked up but I had to leave another message. I decided to call the main reception to explain that I just missed their call so can anyone help me with booking this appointment. Well guess what the lady who picked up the phone said , “there is no way anyone could have called you before 9am because the scheduling department isn’t open till 9am”I responded saying” well they called my less than 5 mins ago at 7:41am” then she responds saying “if you got a call then it was automated” I responded saying “it was not automated as the real person called Marie left me a voicemail”. I realized at this point, this person had woken up today and decided she was going to be combative. She pretty much implied that I was crazy and no one could have called me. I wish I had gotten the name of this “know it all - Karen” since she seems to know all that transpired on my phone. And for the record I have attached images to prove that you infact are the one that lacks knowledge. Maybe you need to spend your time getting some lessons on customer service. If you had good lessons you wouldn’t have spent your time focusing on implying I was lying. At 8:51am I get another call from the scheduling department which I happened to pick up this time, thank God. Notice the time of the 2nd call, before 9am again. I eventually scheduled my appointment with this scheduler who had absolutely no customer service, was rude and obnoxious. I’m worried about the next 9 months since Enloe clearly seems to miss the customer service piece. I guess they think providing healthcare is a privilege and not a service?Chico really needs more options. This is unacceptably.
I have gone to Dr. Brooks for over 40 years and he recently retired. I recently went to appt. with Dr. Hitch and loved her. She was very congenial, thorough and pleasant. I was very happy with her. I would highly recommend her. Glad I was able to connect with her.
I love Dr. Burke, but the office staff is so frustrating. For the entire second half of my pregnancy, my appointments were cancelled or rescheduled. I was made to feel like my baby didn't matter. I thought my post care would be different. I had to schedule an appointment over 2 months in advance to cater to mine and my daughter's schedules, and sure enough.... They had to reschedule. Except this time I couldn't, so now I have a very needed procedure not happening because they don't know how to schedule properly. If you don't have a job or a life, this place is great.
I had Dr Garrison for surgery back in July. I have never had a better doctor, & I’ve had some other good ones! I felt so cared for as he explained everything & he is so knowledgeable. He is very professional and also very personal - you know he really cares. I’m so thankful that I ended up with him- truly the best doctor I have ever had. Also, his assistant Sylvia is great and all of the office gals were wonderful- I have never had a bad experience with any of them.
Horrible doctor. Filed an official complaint with Enloe but decided to post a review as a I was disturbed to see only people with positive things to say have come forward. Unfortunately I found out after my experience that two women I know had him present for their births and also had adverse experiences. My experience was that during labor when my son’s head was crowning Dr.Valcarenghi turned to my husband and said, “Want to know what an episiotomy looks like?” He then produced a pair of scissors and cut. I had had an epidural and could not see where he had cut because of the angel I was positioned in and truly believed that he gave me an episiotomy without my consent. I was so scared and so distracted from the beautiful life I was bringing into the world. My husband then turned to me and told me, “don’t worry he just cut the paper.” Dr.Val in known for having in appropriate humor but this was in know way funny. There is more the story about his disturbing behavior but I don’t want to write an essay in a review. I did my due-diligence and reported his actions to the hospital (though I don’t know if that actually did anything) but I thought I should post here in case someone is looking for an OB and like me is only seeing positive reviews. I am not an overly sensitive person but this man is disturbed and has been in the field so long that I don’t know if he just doesn’t care or has become accustomed to getting away with negligent behavior. Anyhow thought I would post here as I feel I need to warn other mothers to be.

This "doctor" and I use the term loosely, should not be allowed inside a medical wing. He's rude, rough, and very forgetful. His staff carries this as well. If you're an expecting mother DO NOT CHOOSE HIM
Better hope you don't have anything pop up in life. I was literally flooded into town the day of my appointment. My vehicle wasn't capable of safely driving through the flooded areas and because of missing that first appointment they refused to reschedule me for another. I understand it is a business, but the fact they refuse to reschedule a first appointment EVEN WHEN IT IS an "act of God" out of your control making it unsafe to travel is absurd. The lack of understanding and caring from reception and staff is appalling. In life things pop up, and in the business of taking care of pregnant women there should be more CARING. Just a warning to future Mom's who may live a few towns away from this facility and don't have absolutely perfect and predictable lives. I'm still in shock they turn away pregnant women for a missed appointment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
