I have not been to this doctor, but it is the first listing to come up when looking for a place that accepts Medi-Cal insurance. They do NOT accept Medi-Cal.

Dr. Bishop is the best doctor I have ever had. He has literally kept me alive through very harrowing medical issues. He shows he truly cares about his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bishop for 22 years now. And there's a reason for that...he's that good! Before Dr. Bishop began his own private practice at Argyll Medical Group, he started out in a small shared office on Cohasset Avenue in Chico. I believe that I was one of the first few patients who had the privilege to see him at this Chico location. Dr. Bishop has always been kind, caring, compassionate and most of all...a brilliant doctor! He literally has saved my life on more than one occasion. This also includes my husband too. Before there were hospitalists and your Primary Care Doctor was in charge of your care should you need to be in the hospital, Dr. Bishop would come see you daily. He always would have specialized doctors who would come on board if need be to help facilitate your care. In other words, if he felt that you may have something beyond his scope, he never let his ego get in the way of your care. I would highly recommend Dr. Bishop as a good solid pcp for anyone from birth to geriatric medicine. He's a wonderful family doctor who can treat families as a whole. Now what can be better than that!
