List of Steven K. Sterzer's Reviews
Fast and very comfortable experience would 100% recommend to anybody looking to get a vasectomy.
Dr. Sterzer saw me upon referral from my primary doctor and tho he was nice enough, his diagonis after using a "scope" that leaked and wet me, was "You have too much urine" and was going to prescribe a pill but I told him "i don't want to take another pill" so that was the end of the visit other than taking a brochure about the problem I picked up that explained over active bladders. Moreover, there was a sign in his office "wear a mask" and tho he wore one neither of his two assistants did.
I also don't quite get the negative reviews below. Perhaps they have improved things. To me, desk staff was friendly and on top of things, and Dr. Sterzer was sharp and listened and took his time. The comments about how he "should be retired" seem ageist to me; he seemed to know his stuff, completely fixed my kidneystones, was patient and listened. I had no complaints at all and recommend.
Had the procedure done at Enloe Hospital in Chico as an outpatient.Dr Sterzer is as good as the Best out there.Enloe is a great hospital with great people.
Wow what a pleasant experience . The office staff and the Dr. were just wonderful. I was scared to death about having a bladder scope. The Dr. took the time to make the procedure painless. I highly recommend him to anyone who has problems. I am so happy that I got to see him .
I promised myself I would post a review, so that I can help other people out who were also in limbo about the vasectomy procedure performed by Dr. Sterzer. It has been a month now.The initial and procedure visits were amazing. The staff are very... delicate, knowing why you're there. They make it friendly and easy. Dr. Sterzer himself, he just cuts to the chase. After a few initial questions, we both knew why I was there so he got right to it. This is what was going to happen and here we go.Came in for the actual procedure. Hardly any wait time, brought into the office and told to get ready. The method he uses is brilliant! The anesthetic was quick and virtually painless. It felt exactly like a rubber band snap but hardly as painful as that. The procedure went off without a hitch - Hardly any tugging and no pressure or pain.If I didn't have a couple complications (each person's has a different experience) I would have been fully recovered, no pain, in 3 days. However I had some painful lumps develop but that's not the good doctors fault. Also, I never even took the pain medicine.Five stars. Would do it again.Actually well no I wouldn't.But.Yeah...
I had a vasectomy with Dr. Sterzer in February of 2015. The procedure was very simple with minimal discomfort. I was in and out in about an hour. I did my homework before choosing a doctor for this procedure. Many of my friends have had complications with their vasectomies because they went to a regular MD. Dr. Sterzer is a specialist trained in the no needle, no scalpel technique. This procedure is by far the best way to have a vasectomy. I took 5 days off from work to make sure I had time to heal. I was a little sore for a couple of days after, but not in any real pain. I took advil for 1-2 days and that was it. My wife and I have 2 kids and we didn't want any more. Dr. Sterzer has taken away that worry for the both of us. My wife was so happy that I was willing to do this. If you are concerned at all about this procedure, don't be. It was very easy and Dr. Sterzer and his staff were very professional. I've referred a number of people to his office, all have been very happy with the outcome.
Totally unprofessional! I was a patient here, and when I tried to make another appointment I was told by the girl at the front desk that they had no record of me and had lost my file. When I asked to make an appointment she started yelling at me and then simply hung up on me. This Doctor's office is very unprofessional, sloppy and downright rude. I would not recommend Dr. Sterzer's office to anyone.
My husband just had a procedure done by Dr.Sterzer and he is totally satisfied and happy with Dr. Sterzer. His manner is so pleasant and he explained everything before and after the procedure. Dr. Sterzer was very concerned about my husband's well being and went above and beyond to get him into surgery asap. We are so relieved with the diagnosis. Dr.Sterzer himself called our home that evening to inquire and explain anything we needed to know. Also, my husband cannot hear and he always wants me in the room with him and I have never been questioned or denied access anytime when I just march in the room. I have had nothing but great professional service from Dr.Sterzer and his office personnel.
If you require a fully accessible restroom in the urologist office it won't be found here. Nor is the parking to code or the ramp or the entryway or the seating or the window but who am I to say but a person who have been train in the codes of access for persons with disabilities. Dr. Sterzer himself is very skilled in his trade but was very miss informed on the above mentioned issues, and the person he went to was also miss informed. alas I could have offered to help but here i am typing an review instead.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
