Stuart Mishelof's Online Review Report Card

I've been a patient of Maureen Breeze, FNP for over a year now. She is  easy to talk to, answers every question (I never feel rushed), encourages a healthy diet (but doesn't humiliate me if I'm not loosing quickly), she is cheerful and knowledgeable in so many areas.  She diagnosed a issue I've had for years and no one else every made the connection. I truly appreciate her candid approach and hope to have her as my primary caregiver for years to come!

Worst. Experience. Ever. Dr forgot to call in my antibiotics for bronchitis twice. Dr said, "no news is good news" and then a few days later left me a voicemail saying she needed to go over my test results with me and I've now been waiting 4 days (7 voicemails, spoke to on call dr, answering system, AND receptionists) and still haven't gotten a call back to find out my lab results and now it's the weekend. AWFULLLLLL feeling!!!!!!! Then, when I called to see if my medication (insulin, type one diabetic) could be transferred to a different pharmacy closer to me that was just refilled 3 days prior I was told by a different Doctor here to "go to a clinic" to get my diabetes medication (even though it was ready at my normal pharmacy I just needed it to be transferred to a different one closer to me??) and then the receptionist hung up on me AND said she would have Dr. Stark  call me and he never did (my pharmacy was able to transfer it to the one closer to me, so I got my diabetes meds without their help. And with no communication from them). When I had my mom call on my behalf after leaving 4 voicemails about needing my insulin ASAP the receptionist (Ali) told her confidential information about what I had done at my last visit that had absolutely NOTHING to do with my diabetes. With that being said, I filed a complaint for the hipaa violation for breaking confidentiality with the civil rights department of human services and filed another complaint with the board of medicine for telling me to go to a random clinic instead of just assisting with the diabetes medicine transfer like Enloe pharmacy happily did for me. So disappointed to pay so much money to not have my calls returned within a weeks period, to be hung up on, medication forgetting to be called in, confidentiality broken, etc. I truly have never had an experience like this in my life. I've had diabetes for almost 15 years and have had insurances like Kaiser, even MediCal when I was a minor, and I have NEVER ever seen a place more unprofessional. This is my first time writing a negative review for anywhere and I'm just sickened that of all things it has to do with my health.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Mishelof for many years and he is exceptional! He isnt the Dr. that just gives you a prescription and sends you on your way. He truly cares and takes the time to talk to you no matter how behind he might be that day. I love that he looks into things and consults with other Drs if he has a question. He especially helped me deal with the death of my daughter in Dec 2017. He saw that I needed extra help and he made some calls and found me a psychiatrist.

I was seen three times by Laura Taylor, P.A.  At each visit, I requested copies of Mrs. Taylor's notes, as well as any lab work.  They said it would be no problem.  To this day, I still haven't received anything, except the invoices for each visit.  The communication between staff and patient has been ZERO for me!!!  When I call, they say they have to take a message and pass it on, and that someone will get back to me.  That has never happened.  Not once have I gotten a return call, in regards to my requests.  The place seems so unorganized.  Someone in the office also mis-communicated my medication instructions when they sent it to the pharmacy.  If I hadn't already known how this certain drug is dosed, then I would have never discovered the error.  When I called their office, they acted like it was no big deal.  I decided to go somewhere else.  The doctor I'm going to requested my records from them, on June 11th, and they also haven't gotten a response.  I don't want to pay to repeat lab work, but at this point, it appears I have no choice. This place has been the most unprofessional medical office I've ever been to.  I would not ever recommend going there.  I have also tried to contact the person in charge there, so I could discuss this issue with him/her.  When I asked the receptionist who to direct my complaint to, she said, "That's a complicated issue."  What is that supposed to mean???I've had enough!!!

I recommend Dr. Afsari, she is genuine.

I often have chest pain due to lupus. One day it felt different. He immediately had blood test done and it showed I might have Blood clot. Then he had me get a cat scan. I had a pulmonary embolism. Straight to emergency room. He likely saved my life. Great doctor!

I have been seeing Stuart for a number of years and have been extremely satisfied. My wife had a different physician who moved elsewhere about a year or so ago so I had her ask if Stuart was willing to take her as a patient. She is also very satisfied.

I had to change doctors, picked DR Villasenor, was only there for about two months now he is gone and nobody there wants to take his patients. I have called several times with questions and the people seem like I am inconveniencing them. My advice do not go here unless you need to be treated like cattle. Although I have met Veterinarians with better bed side manners.

I called in to get a RX filled and the receptionist informed me that I had been terminated as a patient!  I had no idea why.  The receptionist said a letter had gone out, which I never received.  She said it indicated the letter was not delivered.  When asked again why I had been terminated the receptionist acted clueless and said she had to read the letter for her to know.  Oh Please!! It said that I had canceled too many appointments.  SERIOUSLY?!!  People have lives and things that come up.  Are you kidding me?!  And I have to be okay with getting calls saying the Dr. is busy and they have to cancel and reschedule any of my appointments?!! Fucking Ridiculous!!

Stuart Mishelof has been my primary care provider since his arrival at Argyll.  I find him to be compassionate with his medical service and attentive to my individual needs.  I only chose to write this review because I was perplexed by all of the negative commentary? I've always found Stuart's bedside manner to be excellent, his medical decision-making on point, and timeliness and availability of appointment dates to be reasonable in an ever shrinking world of medical care providers.I get in and out of the office quickly and with clear medical directive and follow-up.  Stuart is an excellent clinician and would recommend him to anybody.
