Dr Robert Castro was my cardiologist while I was in Chino Valley Medical Center. The hospital is small and outdated. Therefore, had my reservations about staying at this facility until I met Dr. Castro. He was amazing. Provided the best care and procedures, very thorough, very pleasant to work with and truly cares about the patients needs
Not a caring facility at all! My elderly friend who has memory issue had a appointment with Dr. Castro, but missed his appointment. They called on 11/02 stating that Dr. Castro had to leave early and needs to change our appointment to 11/09, and on 11/03 they totally cancel our appointment!
If you have a choice of going to the Vet. or Dr. Chan, GO TO THE VET.
Exceptionally knowledgable. Listens to his patients and responds accordingly.
I love Dr Chan and so do my parents who also see him. He is very friendly, always has a smile on his face, very knowledagble, normally on time, always trying to help me out and his bedside mannor is great. I recommend him to everyone I know!
He inherited me after another doctor in the practice left. During my first visit I was having pain and he was willing to refer me to an orthopedic specialist but his beside manner really lacked. It did not feel to me that he looked at me as a whole person, nor did he take the time to get to know me even though his practice apparently thought that he should be my doctor now. I went back a couple of more times to see if he was just shy, nervous, overwhelmed (afterall, doctors are human, too). His bedside manner has improved somewhat, but I have not personally witnessed any of the D.O. mentality that is supposed to look at prevention and the whole person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
