Amazing Doctor Best GI in Chula Vista
I haven’t even able to make an appointment. The person who answered my call is devoid of phone ethics. As if she doesn’t want my business. I called on November 29 at 1115 and she asked when my authorization was faxed. I said I have no idea since I requested Dr Korns office as a new provider. She doesn’t even want to entertain my call. No help was offered to find my authorization letter so I’m getting another provider. No wonder they have such low ratings. First point of contact was already extremely disappointing already. What more when I do actual appointments.
If I could I would leave a negative rating. I am not usually one to leave bad reviews or file complaints especially against fellow professionals but after a string of misconduct by Dr. Korn, it is only right to let people know. First, Dr. Korn has been late to several appointments, once he was about 45 minutes late. It is highly disrespectful of someone's time to show up that late to a professional meeting and not even apologize. On another visit, he berated my mother for not having gotten the vaccine even though there are medical reasons. Then recently, she had an endoscopy scheduled so got a COVID test and two days before we happened to call the office to schedule a follow up appointment and the office staff rudely and unapologetically informed us the doctor cancelled so we will need to reschedule and get another COVID test. Korn also uses a dictation machine for patient notes so that everybody in the office can hear all confidential patient info. Avoid this place at all cost.
I was referred to have a colonoscopy about 2 months ago, the day I showed up for my procedure after a long wait due to pandemic I was turned away because the office forgot to send me to get a Covid test, 2 months later today 10/19/20 i passed by doctor Korn’s office to pick up that awful drink mix equivalent to a gallon to drink twice and clean my colon for tomorrow’s colonoscopy but by 4 pm a young lady called me to cancel because they found out they didn’t work with my insurance, can you imagine that? Months in the waiting and they found out after two attempts the day before? I requested to talk to the office manager for an explanation on their actions or no actions, she immediately got aggressive before I could say anything I pleaded over and over to allow me the courtesy to explain my case, need and situation because I believed that they had insurance companies confused, but she kept accusing me of not giving them the information but I was not being allowed to say anything by this lowed and insensitive person even if I begged for the courtesy to be heard and finally she played insulted because I didn’t called her by her name which I didn’t know to begin with and said we don’t want your business and threw the phone, and that’s customers service at Doctor Korn, please avoid this office and these totally unprofessional people if my doctor wanted to know if I have Colin cancer I hope it’s not to late for me. God help us
Had an emergency hospital visit and ended up having 2 surgeries in a 24 hour period. Sadly I was informed that I had other complications caused by the procedures and I might need one more procedure done. Dr. Korn came the next day and told me that things did look bad but that he was going to wait about a week to make sure before they went ahead with the procedure. I am out of the hospital and scheduling an appointment with Dr. Korn has been a nightmare. AILEEN the schedule girl in the front desk does not care about the Patients health. She made it difficult in many dIfferent ways and was not helpful at all.. after waiting to finally been able to schedule appointment. She scheduled it 17 days out, take not it's been 10 days of trying to get appointment. When finally trying to explain to her the concerns we had, she responded, " call me back when you can lower your tone". That is when we cancelled the appointment and now will go somewhere else. Be prepare to meet with the unprofessional AILEEN OR EILEEN. Good Dr with terrible staff!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Staff friendly and nice but extremely loud???? Ok for me but for someone who is sick would be annoying! Waited about 45 minutes. That causes some anxiety which I already have??
Dr. Korn is not just the finest physician I have ever dealt with. He is also one of the finest persons I have ever known and a number of levels. I have been a patient of his since 1973. He was the only doctor who diagnosted my issues. As a Crohn's Disease sufferer, I have put Dr. Korn through a series of life-threatening, life altering, emotional situations. With kindness, frankness, empathy, and support, he saw me through decades of illness. He challenged existing medical thinking! Thank U, Dr.
Absolutely horrible. Lost all records. Show up with appointment and says they had no record, but worse of all......I had colon cancer and told him it was time for my colonoscopy and their office said I wasn't due for one! Thank God, I told my GP, she referred me to another professional where tests and surgery proved I was right.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
