List of Jose Ramiro Lopez's Reviews
They make you fell comfortable, good service.
Dr.Lopez is my new PCP and so far I am frustrated that when you call his office at Main St. the answering machine says they will call back in 30mins.I had to call customer service to ask what's up with them and they were able to get me through to set a appointment. I will try to keep updating on my progress but so far it is below average.
Two years ago, I chose Dr Ramiro Lopez as primary doctor. I'd say that I'm a very happy patient with him and his staff. It's easy to get medication refills at this office. He is very practical and easy to talk to (in Spanish too). I believe he is also a cardiologist and good portion of his patients are hispanic seniors so he is a busy man. God Bless him.
Dr. Ramiro has gone above and beyond to assist my father and I in our COVID recovery. He was very proactive in his treatment and went out of his way on multiple occasions to see how I was doing. God bless you, and thank you for everything you have done.
I had a good experience when I saw Jose R Lopez, but I've been trying to help my wife set up a new patient appointment and I've encountered nothing but utter incompetence by the staff. I have lost count of how many times I had to call in order to get them to confirm her insurance (which I ended up just giving up). They never called me back to let me know they couldn't get ahold of the insurance which took me 5 minutes or when they asked me to text her member ID card another day went by before I had to call and ask for an update. They basically played stupid whenever I called them out on this, how hard is it to give a call back? Had to change PCPs.
If I could leave zero stars I would. I choose Dr. Lopez as my primary care doctor upon moving to San Diego. I asked for a referral to a knee surgeon since I have been putting off knee replacement for years. I had been to an orthopedic doctor before moving to San Diego and a knee replacement had been recommended, so this was not a whim. Dr. Lopez ordered chest X-rays, abdominal ultrasound, and multiple other tests that had nothing to do with knee surgery. He ordered some texts that I had recently had within a few months of seeing Dr. Lopez, but he wanted new ones instead of ordering anything from previous doctors. A month later, I still have no referral to a knee doctor. And that's not the only issue I have with his office. I talked to him about an instance of vertigo I'd had just a few nights before my appointment. He gave me a prescription and said maybe I had a bad dream. I called back within a few days and asked for a referral to an ENT and his assistant said I'd have to talk to him first. I told her I'd already talked to him about the issue when I was in his office but she said he could do a telephone health check up and would call me that afternoon. I never received a phone call. Fortunately the vertigo has cleared up on it's own. After a month, I still have not received a phone call or a referral to an ENT. And if that wasn't enough, I asked for a refill to a regular medication I take. I asked that they send it to my mail order pharmacy. He said talk to his assistant, Michelle. So I asked Michelle and she said they would send it. The mail order pharmacy did not receive it. I called Michelle back after a few days and asked if they could resend it. She said no, they already sent it. I persisted and said I realize you sent it but they don't have it and I'm running out, could you please help me out and send it again. She reluctantly said yes. Later that day I received a call from my local Walgreens that they sent the prescription to them. This is a maintenance drug that Dr. Lopez said I could refill at 90 days at a time. They sent a prescription to the wrong place, and for only 30 days with no refills. I could go on about the incompetence of this doctor and his staff.
I have had a terrible experience with Dr. Lopez. I needed a referral to a knee surgeon. After a month I have not received one. I asked for a refill for a medication and they sent it to the wrong pharmacy with no refills. I called his office asking about a referral to an ENT based on an episode of vertigo, they told me he would call me to consult about it, and after 3 weeks, no phone call. I would never recommend this doctor.
Ofrece un servicio excelente y personalizado, saco adelante a mi y a mi familia de COVID. Agradecidos por siempre.
Muy acertado su diagnóstico, después de tanto buscar, dio a la primera con lo que tenía mi esposo

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
