MIchael R. Lenihan's Online Review Report Card

I had 2 knee surgeries with Dr. Lenihan after a workplace warehouse accident. I strongly believe most Orthopedic Surgeons tend to be "cutters" and their solution is mostly surgery ("to the hammer every problem looks like a nail"). IMHO Dr. Lenihan is a "healer" first. When I first started seeing him for approximately 9 months, we tried everything for me (Physical Therapy, specific knee exercises, a brace, stretching, etc.) prior to declaring we were out of non-surgical options and I needed to really consider surgery. Also, when one surgery he performed determined the damage was worse than the MRI showed and I needed a partial knee replacement he referred me to another Orthopedic Surgeon who specialized in that procedure instead of doing it himself (I would never have known the difference but he wanted me to have the very best treatment possible). I would recommend Dr. Lenihan to anyone with an orthopedic issue. If he determines he is not the very best for your situation he will refer you to an Orthopedic specialist who is. I could not be more pleased with my treatment and the outcome.

An overall great experience. Dr Lenihan explained everything in the beginning. Friendly staff. My shoulder surgery has given me ack the use of my arm. Dr. Lenihan was there following up with me during my recovery.

I'm sure Dr. Lenihan is a great doctor... However, making patients regularly wait for 60 minutes + is not recommended and inconsiderate... You have been practicing for sufficiently long to know that just packing your schedule with patients and pilling then in the waiting room like cordwood is bad patient management. I would hope and expect better than one hour wait as your regular course of business

just tremendous …..from surgery through rehabilitation the Doctor and staff were always on time, concise , informative and professional. Very thorough on the "what to do " during recovery and the "why to do " to help me understand the importance of what he was asking me to do

The doctors and his office as well as all the support staff is a “10”. Their professionalism is of the highest caliber!

The worst doctors office ever been to no follow up, no callbacks, no return calls. They should be ashamed they charge customers and insurance,they don’t have the courtesy to call back even once. Perhaps the doctors there are skilled but as they have no follow through for actual care and what’s the point?

Dr. Has literally 5min to talk to you, bcuz they have too many patients in a day. Always wait very long. He may be good surgeon, but not much explanations, you have no idea what is going to happen after surgery, recovery time etc… If he explains better to me, I might didn’t have surgery. (Oh, then they cannot make money).

I was very skeptical about getting the surgery done but im so glad i did because now i can play sports again and go swimming and enjoy things without my arm popping out. I def recommend getting it done!

I am proud to call myself a patient of Dr. Lenihan's. After a very successful knee surgery I ended up having him do the surgery on my other knee. That surgery also turned out incredibly successful. After a few years I needed to have shoulder surgery and went straight back to Dr. Lenihan to complete it as well. Once again it was a successful surgery. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. HIs demeanor and calm bedside manor helped to make the process so much easier. Thanks Doctor for keeping me whole!
