Thompson Center For Dentistry's Online Review Report Card

I came in with rather substantial dental needs to Thompson's. First of all, the front office with Gail and Jennifer put me at total ease with scheduling, billing, and post-op care. I received absolutely stellar treatments from Dr. A and Dr. Thompson herself, and I am beyond thankful that my oral surgery was handled so well such that I experienced optimal recovery. The proficiency of work peformed, attentive bedside manners, and incredible staffing of the office all make this a solid 5 star review for me. This is the dentist to go to.

Receptionist is a little rude. Asking if i was on PPO and i said not sure and right away she told me that i would have to pay extra for everything ifnot on PPO which is known already. She cut me off right there and implying that i have to pay extra. Seems like shes in a hurry not even ask all the details about my insurance.

I can’t recommend Dr. Thompson enough! Every visit is a breeze, thanks to their expert care. I never feel any pain during procedures. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff always make me feel at ease. Plus, their Halloween decorations are hands-down the best! Dr. Jagger is by far the best dentist I have ever had. She is patient, kind and always listens to my concerns. I actually enjoy visiting here because the overall office is welcoming and professional. It is a top notch operation.

Nice people on staff, but not 600.00 for a simple extraction (excluding the "recommended" bone graft) nice.

This place was recommended to me but I really wish I would’ve read the reviews. 1) It took 30 minutes and 4 assistants to get my X-rays done. I was sitting there with antiquated equipment getting shoved in all corners of my mouth, with a “protective vest” that kept falling cause it was old, getting exposed to x-ray after x-ray. Really bad start. 2) I was introduced to Dr. Thompson to explore Invisalign and the exchange was genuinely uncomfortable to me but I don’t think she has any awareness of how standoffish and patronizing she can come across. I wouldn’t write this if it was a single exchange. Unfortunately, I had to meet with her a different day when the night guard they made for me was completely off. 3) The night guard was so bad, I couldn’t even close my mouth while wearing it. She kept pushing it down hard against my teeth over and over and I could sense the frustration in her. I told her it felt like it wasn’t made for my teeth and she snapped at me saying “It’s just loose”. Now, I wouldn’t note this night guard incident if it happened only once…no, it happened TWICE and then I asked for my money back. 4) I forgot to note, the night guard was something I asked for during my first appointment. They were going to send me off without making the mold for it and when I reminded the young assistant, she went off to look for someone to take my mold only to eventually say “ok, I guess I’ll do it for you.” She also told me it would take FOUR weeks to get a response from my insurance as to what they would cover for my fillings…i responded that I was shocked it would take that long and then she said “well, I can send it electronically and they’ll respond faster”. I should’ve ran out that door. 5) I got a check up from Dr. Jagger during my first appointment. She seemed thorough and gave me a care plan to replace certain fillings. When I came back for my third appointment to get my 2nd attempt at a night guard (as I already mentioned above, the night guard was completely off again), Dr. Jagger took a quick glance at my teeth and proceeded to tell me I had a cavity and needed a filling in two separate teeth she never mentioned in her first thorough assessment!! The whole experience there was so infuriating. 3 weeks had gone by and they still couldn’t tell me what my insurance covered or didn’t cover. Last thing I’ll say that is outside of their service is their waiting room chairs are honestly so gross. I couldn’t get myself to sit on one. Anyway, needless to say, this place is a hard pass.
