Evans's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Amy Evans is no "2" as "her grade" suggests. She takes a multidisciplinary approach to children's medical care and wellbeing. I have never been in an examine room with a more impressive peditrician. (my children 19, 8 & 6 now) She is an expert in her field a true professional. I am most impressed by her approach to community, continued education and application. Dr. Evans does not mix words or sugar coat her opinions about your child's health and a parent's place within it. Unfortunately, perhaps this is the reason she has been graded down. I sure hope not as there is no more important time to hear the truth, even if it stings a bit, than when raising and promoting our children's health in all aspects. Parenting is difficult and sometimes we need to get over ourselves and take the hand up when offered.

Scheduled an appointment in the afternoon due to my kids being in school, just received a phone call that Dr Amy Evans was demanding we be seen in the morning. Mind you i had made it perfectly clear that we could only do afternoons. The dr seems to have no regard for her patients schedules. Terrible!

Dr. Evans is fantastic. I've worked with a lot of physicians professionally and Dr. Evans is by far the best pediatrician I've encountered in Fresno.

Dr. Evans has been wonderful to our family. Our daughter was struggling with jaundice and gaining weight(tried breast feeding but our daughter couldn’t latch on properly) supplemented with formula etc. and Dr. Evans was there very step of the way to ensure our daughter was thriving. At 15 month checkup we expressed our concerns and Dr. Evans didn’t hesitate. She shared the same concerns and immediately took action, ordering every test under the sun to try and pinpoint what could be wrong. She suspected Celiac Disease and made sure we did any other testing a specialist would want to see to help expedite. Our daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and we’re so thankful for Dr. Evans! She can be abrupt and blunt, but she’s not meant to be your best friend. She’s there to care for your child and she does a great job at that!

This is a review of the staff, the front desk and the office manager. These are the most incompetent people I have encountered. Unfortunately, this unprofessional bunch are affecting the ratings of the physician. Hopefully, this will be a "wake-up" call to the physician to review their personnels' customer service. Very disappointing.

I went to Dr. Evans because many friends had recommended her. I went to her for the entire first year of my sons life and wish I had found a different pediatrician much earlier. My son was circumcised in the office by another pediatrician on staff there. After the procedure, it did not look right. When I took my son in to have her look at it she said everything was fine. Well I was relieved at first but still kept feeling like it didnt look right and I had read about penal adhesions. At the next checkup I brought it up again. This time she said yes it looks like he has some pretty bad adhesions. (Nothing had changed from the first time I brought it up) She prescribed a cream to apply that she claimed would solve the problem and said we shouldnt have him cut again. At this point he was still young enough to have it corrected without going under, but she assured us to just use the cream instead. Well a month later at our follow up appointment nothing was better. And this is where it gets bad. We had an appointment just for this specific reason. She walks in the room and examines him and says oh, it looks like he has some pretty bad adhesions here....Im going to give you this cream to help with that I respond with yes, youve given me that cream already and he has been using it for a month. She then checked her chart and said Oh, youre right She said to keep using the cream and come back in another month. Okay....well a month later. THE SAME thing happened. She said the same exact thing I quoted above. I couldnt believe it. THis time I insisted she refer me to a urologist. Ultimately my son had to have surgery to correct the problem. The urologist said the whole thing was preventable. Praise God my son is okay, but there was a lot of worry and a lot of money spent that could have been avoided. Do not go to Dr. Evans, she is nice but I believe she has too many patients and doesnt take the time to give the kind of care you want for your child. I am very trusting of doctors and I gave her the benefit of the doubt but I wish I hadnt. Trust me, go to someone else! Also the staff there is cold and everything just felt so rushed and impersonal so I wouldnt even recommend another doctor in the same facility.
