Robert Kollmorgen's Online Review Report Card

Dr. repeatedly shoved his finger in already irritated tendon when he could see injury on MRI. I can understand doing this once to determine flexibility or movement issues, but then his assistant, X-ray tech and on every visit. I leave his office hurting more than when I arrived. The first visit he was reassuring me that he would get me better, and by the last visit it was I’m so sorry there’s nothing I can do except make sure you have painkillers and this will never heal. Not exactly what I want to hear from a doctor or the condition to leave in more pain than I when I arrived. He did nothing for me.

As an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Kollmorgen is one of the best! He's a no-nonsense expert in his field that explains all treatment options- not just surgical! His PA's (physician assistants) are also very good; conversational, warm, and responsive!Lastly, I would like to recognize the staff in his office (University MD's). I've had nothing but positive interactions with front receptionists, MA's, scheduling, etc. I have felt cared for and cared about in my interactions thus far!

Dr. Kollmorgen has been great, he's helped me tremendously with my hip pain. The office is very big and nice inside and out. His staff isn't the greatest though. When I go to check in the girls are so unprofessional and always ignoring you. I almost stopped going because of them until I realized I could check in on the other side. Mayra is such great help, never rushes me, and always finds answers to my questions. Her team is just great! She always has a line when checking in but she is so efficient and friendly, that it's never a bother to wait to talk to her. Anyone that is having hip pain should see Dr. Kollmorgen and ask for Mayra!

Incompetent! The doctor is arrogant, condescending, and rude! He has treated me with the absolute disrespect throughout this whole process. He has lost his temper numerious times. The walls are thin and yelling at patients can be heard. The staff is equally disrespectful and violates HIPAA. How he gets 5 star ratings is beyond me. I would not recommend him.

I had a hip replacement 9 months ago. Dr and stuff were very caring and professional. My recovery went well. I highly recommend Dr. KollmorgenThank you Dr Kollmorgen and stuff

Dr. Kollmorgen is amazing! His immediate support staff is amazing. I sit here 4 month PO and I am so thankful for everything they did for me. From the first appointment, explaining all my options, the level of skill and compassion shown throughout the entire process and most of all the outcome. My pain is gone & I have my life back! Thank you!Anyone who needs a true hip preservation specialist, this is who you want!Thank you Dr. Kollmorgen & staff for everything :)

Dr. Kollmorgen is an absolute excellent surgeon. I had my first surgery with him in December 2020 from the day we met he has been fantastic. I see a tremendous amount of specialists and I would say he is the most compassionate and skilled professional I’ve been a patient of. My surgery went so well beyond what we expected, I have a very complex medical history and he makes sure I am always taken care of and listens to my questions and concerns. He visited me at the hospital every morning even on weekends which I didn’t expect. I am able to contact him directly whenever I need to and am taken care of immediately. I would recommend him to literally any person who ever needs a hip preservation specialist. I will continue to have my post op care and next surgeries with him and wouldn’t have it any other way. His staff is very prompt, polite and great at communication prior to surgery as well as during recovery.

I tore one of my three hamstrings clean off the bone while water skiing and needed it repaired. I was referred to Dr. Kollmorgen. As others have stated I was surprised by how young he looked ... but good for him! We should all take such good care of ourselves. I would not let anyone cut into me without doing some asking around and he received excellent reviews by other medical professionals I know. My leg is doing great and I feel fortunate that I didn't have to travel to LA or SF for this surgery.

Exceeded my expectation, The dr and his staffAre very attentive

I had a really unpleasant experience at my office visit with this physician. I saw him because he refers to himself as a hip preservationist. My hip discomfort is not severe but I was interested in preventive measures if there were any. After a fifty minute wait in a near empty waiting room, I was seen and evaluated by his PA instead of him, and offered all the standard options, nothing preventive. Then he breezed in and asked me what he can do for me in a manner that I experienced as I’m wasting his time. When I asked him about preservation, I was told nothing can be done after arthritis has set in, which was my situation. Bad news, but I can deal with bad news. It’s his attitude that I found off putting. A bit cocky and a lot insensitive. He looked young so I’m assuming he has little empathy for the older person.
