List of MIchele Lokitz's Reviews
Maybe my worst encounter ever with a medical staff. She is nasty and confused every time and just cares about money. Sad when the PAs are better than any of the MDs in the practice. Stay away
She doesn't listen or seem to care. I explained to her several times why I was there but she just froze something and left the room. Worst experience.
I don't know who gave the good reviews but this was not my experience at all. She didn't listen to me and rushed to get out of the room.
I have been a patient of Dr. Lokitz for nine years and I recommend her as the best physician I have ever seen. Her knowledge is encyclopedic and she has a surprising knack for minimizing the discomfort resulting from treatments. Even so, she talks to patients as intellectual equals; a trait that is as refreshing as it is unusual among MDs. I find it amusing also that she can pick up a conversation in the very place where we left it, twelve months earlier. I have never known another person who could do that. My overall impression is that Dr. Lokitz really cares about the health of her patients and has the skills to help them. If by over exposure and misfortune, you need your hide peeled and repaired, Dr. Lokitz is the best in the business.
Usually, I like Dr. Lokitz, but today I was surprised that it took 35 minutes from appointment time to her entering the exam room. I'd mentioned the delay at the desk, as I had another commitment. Dr. Lokitz seemed defensive about the delay saying that she'd been on time the previous day and that her previous patients had many questions. I reassured her that I'd just been communicating to the desk, in case I'd been overlooked. Dr. Lokitz went on to say that she'd had to wait 1 1/2 hours at her ophthalmologist and that she'd learned not to schedule anything else on the same day as an appointment. It felt a little judge-y and made me wonder if she knew that some people have jobs and other commitments. She also asked 3 times if I use moisturizer daily (I guess she didn't remember already asking) and when she commented that my skin was dry, I explained that the cold air/heating and a trip back and forth to the West Coast in a couple of days were to blame. She wanted to know why I'd been to the West Coast and asked a couple of follow-up questions on my trip as well, even though I didn't initiate it. It's fine to be friendly, but if you are already running late and know that I'm time-sensitive (as her other patients may be), it seems odd. She's a good doctor, but was defensive mentioning her delay multiple times and telling a story unrelated to my care to justify that doctors run late and that patients should allow a whole day for their appointments. I was surprised that the nurse didn't verify my pharmacy with me about my prescription until I caught her as she dashed out the door. Hoping next time is better, or I'll just switch to another doctor.
I have seen Dr. Lokitz for over 8 years now. She spends 5 minutes with me after I wait nearly 45 minutes in her office. She has never listens to my concerns about my skin treatment. I am finally switching dermatologists, and I would not recommend seeking her care.
Dr Lokitz, and her wonderful staff, treated me well, in a friendly yet professional manner. Upon examining the suspicious rash on my face that had triggered my visit, she declared that it was a "seborrheic keratosis" brought upon by "many birthdays" ..... I appreciated her using very graceful and elegant terms to describe an "age spot". Thank you for your sensitivity and the rapid and efficient treatment. Keep up the good work.

Good experience. She is confident, personable and realistic. I like her.
45 min wait from appt time to when doctor entered room. No biggie for me though but could be for someone else. Love Dr Lokitz. She seems to care & answers questions; no attitude & very personable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
