List of Thomas Donaldson's Reviews
I have seen this doctor 3 times, my 1st visit I had to wait 2 1/2 hours. My second visit was the surgery. My 3rd visit was for follow up and I had to wait 1 1/2 hours. My last visit I left after waiting for 1 1/2 hours and then was told I have 6 patients in front of me. My time is valuable but this doctor has no consideration for the patients time.
Definitely don't understand the hype. He was recommended by a co worker that had mild knee problems, but Dr Donaldson did a partial knee replacement on him. Booked 3 months out, then my appointment got cancelled. Rebooked for 2 months out. Appointment was at 230, drove an hour to his office and checked in at 210. Was told he was an hour behind. Fast forward to 430 and i finally get called back. Fast forward to 510 and he finally comes in. 3 hours after check-in and im seen. First thing he says is "you're too young to have knee problems." Mind you, 3 combat deployments and 10 years in the Marine Corps say otherwise. He never asked my pain level. Never asked my day to day activities. Never asked about sleep or the pain im in. Never read the my Drs notes from my MRI. Never even asked about how many injuries ive had. Never knew that im 100% disabled and have constant pain, not discomfort, pain. Long story short, very disappointed in this experience and him making up his mind prior to meeting me and telling me im too young without asking me anything, seems wrong. Im sure he's a great guy, but not at all what i expected.
Very happy with the successful results of a total right knee replacement that had been botched by a Dr. Poncee in Hemet CA. and a total left knee replacement that was successful. It's been 3yrs and I am pain free walking my 2 dogs 2 miles a day.
Great doctor. Would recommend him highly.
I have been struggling to try to reschedule my family members surgery since Covid shut everything down. Typically Dr. Donaldsons office staff is pleasant. However I cannot keep silent on the rudeness of Lori (not sure on the spelling). She is the scheduler. I don't even have words for her behavior but I will try. She could never be wrong, never be mistaken. She knows all. She treats people horribly, the way she thinks she can talk to people is absurd. I will never recommend this doctor and will spread the word to do whatever you can to NOT go to Dr. Donaldson so that you will never have to deal with that miserable woman.
I am 32 and had had 6 knee surgeries prior to seeing Dr. Donaldson. To say he changed my life is an understatement! I can finally chase my 3 young boys again and live a life without pain. He gave me a partial knee replacement. Thank you Dr. Donaldson!!
Dr Donaldson is an amazing Dr. I was diagnosed with bone cancer 20 years ago and have seen almost every specialist in SoCal. dr Donaldson is literally the best. I have had surgeries at UCLA and seen all Dr’s over the years. My experience with Dr Donaldson has been the best. He completed a very risky surgery that UCLA refused to do and he gave me my life back. I am forever grateful for this surgeon who also has amazing bedside manner.
Amazing Dr, so gifted.... My life is so much better after the knee replacement he did for me :)
He has taken amazing care of my wife. She can flex her leg for the first time in 3 years. I have never seen a doctor be such a proponent for his patients. You do what he asks and he does everything he can to get you to your goals and fix you orthopedic needs. I wish there were more doctors like him in every field of medicine. To boot, he has a great attitude towards his patient and what use to be called "bedside manor". This is the orthopedist you are looking for!!
I have only gr8 things to say about him. He does 1 surgery on Friday's to help a veteran. He has a busy schedule. As a veteran this means the WORLD to us. It's so much better than the political saying of "thank you for your service." He picks a veteran with a special case and he gives his time with doing a surgery I was that veteran! Hes done 2 on me so far and I have 2 more to go, I hope its him. God bless him and I thank him for his dedicated service!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
