I called to make appointment for a retina specialist and denied appointment even though I have referral from my dr to this office ,very rude and unprofessional service.
They did a great job and seemed to be moving people through at a steady rate. I was a little early and still was seen pretty quickly. Btw from the parking garage you should enter from the "back" by the trash.
I’m so happy for East bay retina because the have great quality customer service and take care of the customer satisfy I recommended thanks for Great series God bless 🙏 to doctors and all workers from Michael ,M 2/10/25 Monday,,,, 👍
EBRC is great! I must have had swelling in my retinas over the years and didn't realize how my vision was slowly deteriorating. Dr. Alexander Dillon has been treating me for the past several months and the improvements, especially to my night vision are remarkable. I used to not drive at night over the years because it was harder and harder to see. He has brought my eyes close to 20/20 and improved my night vision substantially. I was out and very hesitant last night riving home, but my vision has improved so much its a pleasure. I can see through the gloom.
Keep your appointment!!! everything is super sanitized and disinfected! I've had serious retinal issues and Dr Scott Lee at the E. Bay Retina Center has been treating me for the past six months. I had to go for a follow up check up today. Wow I was super impressed. They are taking utmost precautions and following very strict protocols for their patients' safety. There is very very very limited close contact. The outside doors are propped open, and there was no one in the waiting room. Every employee/doctor is careful. You are required to wear a mask in order to be admitted. They take your temperature upon arrival and limit talking . Dr. Lee only talks when he's 6 feet apart from the patient. They constantly sanitize the examination rooms and are being ultra cautious. I haven't felt that safe in a long time. If you are a patient here do not delay seeing them for important follow ups. You will be well taken care of in super sanitized surroundings!
Some of the most professional and knowledgeable doctors I've seen as a cardiac patient. Dr Rofagha initially realized what problems my heart valve was causing to the circulation of my left eye. She and her partners gave me proof of serious complications caused by a leaking heart valve in a system which tried repeatedly to convince me that I have ptsd, anxiety, etc from a decade as a medic. This was an excuse for insurance companies and cardiologists to deny that the intermittent blindness and other visual disturbances I've endured for over a decade were caused by something other than my heart valve. A problem I didn't know I was born with until I was 35 and going into cardiac arrest repeatedly soon after waking with severe chest pains. East Bay Retina and a primary doctor who sent me to a cardiologist who I paid out-of-pocket to, were the only ones who cared enough to be thorough with an otherwise "healthy looking" patient. Thank you so much for the great work all of you do. Your professionalism has helped keep me alive and willing to keep going in an otherwise failing healthcare system/country full of corruption and negligence.
So far so good. The staff is efficient and friendly. The office, waiting room and testing areas all clean and well organized. I'm waiting for more tests now so more info when the visit is complete.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
